Deep, dark secrets anyone?

Mine is pretty tame. And sad. I got to daycare yesterday to drop off the kids and realized I forgot to brush my teeth. Fortunately home is on the way to work, so I remedied that. When I got to work and saw my makeup under the fluorescent lights, however, it looked like my blush had been applied by a clown. Or an elderly woman. It was that kind of day all around, as I got to fish a giant toddler turd out of the tub last night. Fun times. I foresee a big ol' cocktail in my future tonight!

Every night, I tell my husband that I need to go poop but I really go in the bathroom to read or bump with you ladies. I felt bad at first but I have a 9 hour non-stop work day, then i'm immediately needed as soon as I walk through the door. The only down time I have is on the 6 mile drive home or if I go to Target (Mom's Disneyland) at lunch.

I have one student in my honors class that is CONSTANTLY off task. She is always talking and ALWAYS on her phone. I swear her mission in life is to get the most instagram likes and followers.

Anyway, we have been reading this play in class and she never pays any attention. I am sick of telling her to get off her phone, so I gave a pop quiz JUST so that she would fail. Everyone else got A's.

And it felt good.

When I was in college, everyone had phones, but all you could do was talk and text... none of this internet business. So you would glance at your phone occasionally, but you weren't GLUED to it like they are now.

I was out running errands with G and had to pee. Decided to multitask & blow my nose while I peed...bad idea! The pee shot EVERYWHERE and my shorts were soaked along with the floor. I had to finish all my errands in pee soaked shorts. Guess I should add an extra outfit for myself in the diaper bag:)

Step two: rip a paper plate in half. Use one half to scoop giant mushy turd onto other half of plate.
Step three: flush turd and dispose of plate.
Step four: disinfect the crap out of the tub. Literally.
Step five: new bath to wash crap off child.

Easier method: grab baby wipe (they're meant for cleaning up poo anyways...) wrap around turd, lift out of tub, and dispose.
Drain water and bath child again immediately.
Disinfect after washing poo off toddler.

No time to look for paper plates at my house

@elbou‌ - if you have a solid turd, that works. My kid is on miralax for chronic constipation, so we end up with a pile of soft poo that is not grabable unfortunately...

It was reported when it happened. I have all the paperwork on it. But after it happened, the guy got a slap on the wrist and the whole thing was apparently let go after I graduated.

My confession is that I'm slightly (Ok, more like VERY) anxious/terrified to join the 2u2 club. It took us so long to get pregnant with B, I honestly didn't see us having another one until she was closer to 3. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to have them close in age,just anxanxious about how I'll balance it all. Everything happens for a reason right?!

I work with a moron. She is always telling stories and adds details that seem made up just to get a reaction out of people or make her stories better than they actually are. So, lately I have purposely been finding ways to bust her out on her exaggerations. Like today, somehow we were on the topic of chest size. She proceeds to tell me about her cousin who has "literally the biggest boobs in MN. The doctors told her so." She was a size 4 and her ginormous boobs went down to her knees (in high school mind you) and each boob weighed 50 pounds a piece. So I said, "Why wouldn't she have a breast reduction?" Her reply, "they wouldn't let her. They thought she would lose too much blood." So I asked for her name so I could google her... Of course she had an explanation of why she wouldn't be found on there either. I'm such a brat that I secretly smile to myself when she realizes I'm not buying it.

Confession: H sent me a picture of Mila today from a year ago where she was tiny and curled up on my chest and I started crying. Then I started thinking how fast the years go and imagining my kids in high school and college and then moving overseas and leaving me (total la la land) and really lost it. Hello cuckoo.

Omg, yes! I was watching toy story 3 with my son, and when the mom is looking at Andy's room all packed up for college I started bawling imagining my son heading off to college. I cry even just typing this!

I have also had that moment. Ugh.

I've had the SNUR for the past couple of days and mild nausea and kind of a weird tightness below my bra... not contractions, but feeling pretty awful. No appetite, etc. I called the doc today just to make sure they didn't want to check me for a UTI or something, and I was secretly hoping they'd tell me to go home and spend the weekend off my feet.

Instead, they told me just to eat bland foods and hydrate (NO SHIT, MD), and if I was still having issues in 2 days,call them again.

Then I got called into a meeting where I had a REALLY shitty attitude, because the project that i've basically been working on for TWO YEARS just got blown up into smithereens and I have to start all over.

I seriously cannot wait for my maternity leave. I'm about to jump off the roof.

Oh-- also -- DH went to the track tonight for opening night. HE waited until J was asleep. It is our tradition to usually go together, so I acted a little sad about it, but I am thrilled to have the night in a quiet empty house, remote control, and some time to catch up online.

What does SNUR mean? And that really sucks, I'm sorry you had to deal with that especially on top of feeling shitty. I was in a meeting where my client wanted to scrap my project after devoting 18 months to it and I was ready to lose it... I know the feeling. But at least it's Friday!

It's the "Runs" backward -- ie, diarrhea.
