I've lurked for a while, but never felt like I had much to contribute... I'm Kate, 31, and a FTM to a little boy due August 19. I've lived in New England my whole life--originally from Connecticut, but moved to Rhode Island 9 years ago for a guy who is now my DH of almost 5 years.
I'm trying to get out of my lurking phase! I'm Kathleen, I'm 30 and DH is 32, and LO #1 (a girl) is due August 19th. DH is a software engineer and I've switched fields a bunch of times; my background is in political science, but I'm currently working in educational technology. We live in the Boston area and both sets of parents are in the Boston suburbs, which is a blessing and a curse.
I'm Monica 28 years old and DH is 29. We are due Aug 25 with our first. A boy. We are currently in Goldsboro NC. I'm active duty on Seymour Johnson. Don't care for the location much. hoping to move out west and also looking into vet tech training so Dawn5481 I'd love to ask you a few questions.
I mostly lurk, post occasionally. I'm Lindsay, 29, attorney from Iowa. This is #2 for us. Team green. DS will be 2 in a few weeks (June 2012 baby, although he was due May so I mostly lurked / sometimes posted in May '12). Never posted an intro before. Hi all!
I'm Kari, a 35 year old FTM who is expecting a little girl, Avery Jane, on 8/26. My husband and I are thrilled but nervous, which is normal for first time parents. We live in Tampa, FL and have a miniature schnauzer, Bella, who is 13 years old. Bella will be an amazing big sister, but I'm sure will need some time to adjust to a new person in the house. I plan to work after I have the baby. I'm a Human Resources Manager for a healthcare company and enjoy my job (on most days).
I look forward to joining the conversations more in the future!
I have posted before but not often. I have a 3 year old boy and 21 month old girl and expecting another boy in August. Here's to enjoying a hot bumpalicious summer with you ladies!
-I'm currently taking my 2 hour glucose test so I'm bored. I chugged the orange drink because I'm pretty sure I'm the only person that actually likes them (Plus I love that it makes the baby dance). They remind me of melted Otter Pops
Hope to be more active with you ladies. I've enjoyed the board so far and like that there isn't too much drama.
Well I'm not a newbie but I guess you could call me a lurker for the past week or 2! I got super busy with work, where I bump from most of the time, and it's been a while since I've posted anything! I'm trying to get caught up on everything that has happened in the last month! I'll reintroduce myself though since there are lots of names I don't recognize.
I'm Staci, 27 years old and my H and I are expecting our first child, a girl, on 8/4. I live in Iowa and work for a mortgage servicing company as a trainer. I look forward to being on here more and being more involved!
I am 31, a first time mom and I am 28 weeks pregnant with a baby GIRL! I am an accountant full time and am gradutuing with an MBA this weekend. I usually don't post because I get caught up reading everyone else's responses and I can never get my ticker to work! lol
Hello. I'm Ann and I've been lurking since February. I lurk here and in the pregnant after 35 board. I'll try to start posting since I do enjoy reading the posts on this board.
A little about me: I just turned 42 and am due with baby #5 (girl) on Aug 17th. I have 12yo DS,DS,DD triplets (after 5 years TTC, with one ruptured ectopic) who were born at 28 weeks. They spent 7 weeks in the NICU which, thankfully, was uneventful, they just needed to finish maturing and growing. I became a stay @ home mom when we brought them home.
We were told that we probably wouldn't be able to conceive again so we've always been "open" to having more. 4 years later we were blessed with DD (baby #4) who will be 8 this summer just before DD (baby #5) is born.
I've posted once or twice, but lurk for the most part.
I'm 28, have two girls (3.5 and 1.5) and we're expecting our first boy in August. I'm a stay at home mom with a business on the side, and live in Wisconsin (where I'm fairly certain it will never be warm or sunny again).
Hi everybody! I love reading the boards but was always too shy to post.
I'm 25 and this is my first baby. My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years and we are expecting a baby boy on August 14th. We are naming him Julian.
Hi everyone, I really like this board after initially being on What to expect where people were super bitches. Im a ftm so find all the chat fascinating, especially bc we are all at the same stage. Oh, my name is Helena, I live in New Zealand, work in film and tv, we took ages to get pregnant and had to use ivf in the end. Happy it exists!

Alright, I'll bite! I've been on the Bump for a LOOONNNGGG time, but haven't posted since my first pregnancy way back in 2009. I've been reluctant to start posting again because of, I don't know, superstition? Without going into too much detail here (though happy to explain in a PM or separate post), that pregnancy did not end well so I've been an on-and-off lurker ever since.
Fast forward to now: I have one little girl at home who is about to turn 3, and this one (another girl!) is due August 14th!
I've really enjoyed reading many of the posts here, and can't say how active of a poster I will be, but love the community here!
ETA: I live in Minnesota, in my early 30s, graphic designer. Hi! :-)
I do a little dirty lurking and very rarely post...I was much more active on TB while pregnant with my DD. She will be 3 in August and we're having another little girl, due 8/8. I was a teacher, now a SAHM, and live in Iowa.
I'm Katie, 24, having my first! Hubby and I just got married November 1st of this past year, found out we were expecting a few days before Christmas!
I started as a lurker and since have found I like to share my opinions on this board I started in the second trimester board and the DRAMA and flat out mean comments whenever I had a question or concern had me running for the hills in no time. Love this board
I have a BS in Human and Sport Physiology and currently working towards a nursing degree. That, work, married life, and pregnancy have me exhausted and unsure of my future in regards to school/work!
Hello lovely ladies! My name is Holly! I am 37 years old, have a 4 yr old and a 6 yr old. I have been on the Bump since my first pregnancy! These days I am more if a lurker, sometimes poster! I honestly hate posting from my phone! I find TB to be full of entertainment, support and knowledge! I have been married to the man of my dreams for 9 years and live in Tucson, AZ. I am a power lifter I love to lift heavy shit! I am thrilled that I am 25 weeks pregnant and still getting in 3 to 4 workouts a week! In fact this morning I was dead lifting 215 pounds! Don't worry, I've cleared it with my doctor.!! It's nice to get to know you all!
Most importantly, I love craft beer and really miss it.
I am 27, live in VA and expecting my baby boy Aug. 28th. This is my first child, and my fiance's second--he has a wonderful 7 year old daughter from a previous relationship. I have posted some topics and a couple replies and photos, but not as active as I planned on. I try to contribute when I can, but all you ladies are more helpful than I feel I can ever be. I feel more prepared for baby than I ever thought I would be thanks to this board. I also wanted to mention that as redundant as posts about weight can be at times, I have struggled with body image since high school and more recently an eating disorder, and The Bump boards have helped me accept these body changes (the first 10 or so lbs were rough) and helped me put my selfish desires for the perfect body aside, and I feel more confident now more than ever.
I'm another that really enjoys reading, but doesn't post much. I'm Jess, 29 and a RN that works with special needs kids. My husband is a teacher, and this is our first, a limitless girl. I've had two previous pregnancies that were ectopic, so we are thrilled to be at this point, but I'm a nervous wreck and over analyze everything. Yay! I also post mostly from my ipad and hate typing, so laziness is to blame for my lack of activity here.

* little girl. I also hate the ipad due to autocorrect
I am more of a sporadic poster, but I will reintroduce myself.
DH and I are both 29 and have been married 6 years and are expecting our first baby boy on 8/14. We live in MI and I work in healthcare and DH is a teacher. I don't have tons of time to be on here, but I do lurk a lot in the evenings and sometimes post.
I recognize you b/c of the awesome Battlestar reference in your screen name.

I live in Evanston IL and im a social worker. I'll try to be more active during the night. But ill be a SAHM starting in August so ill be on more.

Hi, I've posted a few times but never formally introduced myself. I'm Ashley 26, pregnant with my first child. It's a boy, we have decided to name him Owen Lane. I have been married for 4 years and been with my hubby for over 8 years. We live in Texas. I am a teacher at a pre-k and kindergarten campus. My husband is a teacher and a coach at another school district. Owen is due to arrive Aug 27th, which is the first week we start back at school and when high school football season is in full swing....so it should be interesting!!! @-) Thanks to everyone for all the great info on this site, for FTM's like me it is nice to get answers to some of our questions!
I lurk daily and have posted a few times. My name is Cassie and we are due 8/3 with our first. Team pink! My husband and I are both 32 and I'm a nurse practitioner in a primary care clinic. I'm a Capricorn and I love dogs (especially Pomeranians), Netflix and carbohydrates.
I never know if I'm considered a lurker or not. I feel like I post often, but not a lot (if that makes sense). :-) I'll just say hi here anyway!
I did change my username (but not my picture) because when I first signed up I used something too close to my real name that is incredibly unique, and I was bummed that every time I Googled my name, my Bump posts showed up. Unfortunately, I still can't get my original username NOT to link to my new one...so it didn't really work. (Which means I don't post some things I might otherwise, like baby name ideas, etc.).
I'm Jess. 22 years old expecting our first little boy on the 26th of August! I got my B.S. Psychology at Florida State University, and currently two classes away from finishing my Masters School Counseling. Yay full time non-paid internships while pregnant in the summer! But in all seriousness, I'm gonna love that job. I was a supervisor at a hotel, but with the calls at all times of the night, random schedule, and complete non-family friendliness of it I decided to call it quits on that one, and am currently unemployed.
Thats not to say life is dull though! This may be my first human baby but I've got three parrot "fids" and an English Mastiff at home with me. Never a dull moment!
BFP #1 12/19/13 We lost our Fenix 7/31/14 at 36 weeks due to torn umbilical cord
Hello! I am new here, although I only lurked for maybe a week before I started posting, so I'm not sure if that counts. I have one DD who is 2 years old and DD#2 is due 8/16. I live in California, where I am grateful to have access to In-N-Out Burger vanilla milkshakes whenever I want. I work for a school district as a behavior consultant, which means it's my job to teach teachers how to get kids to behave. These skills did not translate into raising my own child as easily as you might expect, but we're cool now.
I'm a FTM, I've posted a few times but never actually introduced myself. My husband and I are high school sweethearts, dated for 11 years before getting married, and then another 5 before trying to get pregnant, it took us another 2 years to get a pregnancy that would stick. After 7 years of marriage, and being together for 18 years we are FINALLY expecting a sweet baby girl on August 27th and are so excited!!! We have a very sweet chocolate lab who is going to be the best big brother!
I love to check out what's going on and have loved all the helpful hints and also the reassurance from this board. I think the August 2014 moms are the best!!
Hello again! I don't frequent this site too often so even though I joined once we found out our due date I'm not a regular poster. I'm pregnant with our second child due August (shocker right?) 14th. My husband is in the military and we are nearing our second move which I'm kind of freaking out about. Left my job just a few days ago so you'll be seeing more of me.
Hi everyone, I'm Kari, 31 years old and live in Philly. This is our first, due August 3rd and we're having a boy, Jackson James. I'm somewhat of a lurker but I'm posting few things here and there as I'm starting to pick up on the lingo. Ha. I think that's the hardest part, figuring out all the acronyms. everyone on here is so knowledgable I love it!!!
Re: More lurkers trying to be social?!
