So, I called my doctor's office today to schedule my first appointment. I was informed that he would be retiring in September, so I could do 1 of 3 things:
1: See him until September and then transfer to the doctor he has arranged to take over his patients for him.
2: See him for the first appointment to confirm everything is as it should be, and then find another OB
3: Start with a new OB from the get go.
A few things you should know:
~He is a single doctor practice, so I can't transfer to another doc within the same practice.
~He would have delivered at a different hospital than I preferred, but I liked him when he delivered my youngest and when I lost my twins, so I was willing to stick with him for this one.
~Since I will have to change providers at some point, I am considering a midwife, but I'm not completely sold on the idea just yet.
Just wondering what the lovely ladies of PGAL would do. Thanks in advance!!!
