AW: Ts & Ps request/update

Just thought I'd post an update on where things were at with me...

In the process of trying to get IVF cycle number 2 in the works. At my baseline monitoring appointment this morning though they found a cyst on my right ovary now. There is one also on the left, but that one they can't do anything about and has just been sitting there. It's large and in the way and I believe having a pretty substantial impact on my ability to produce eggs on that side.

But so now they found one on the right. After my blood test came back this morning with an elevated estrogen level (85) they determined it to be "actively producing hormones" so it needs to be aspirated before we can continue.

So now, after much scrambling around of schedules, and my husband being pretty angry and annoyed to have to change around all kinds of work plans, (I'm not going down that right now but suffice to say I was hurt but just putting emotions aside and focusing on the task at hand), I now have an appointment in surgery tomorrow to get this thing aspirated. Then we'll have a retest of levels Saturday morning. If all looks good I can start the injections at that point.

I just keep thinking, "It's just another hoop. It's just another hoop. Just jump through and move on."

I'm just getting tired of the hoops. But I am so, so thankful I have this opportunity.... so thankful I have hoops to jump through when I know many do not and/or have gone through many more hoops than me.

As always, I'm thinking of you all and lurking more than I've been able to respond lately. My work schedule has been insane and it's all about to get so much crazier with my appointments (hopefully) coming up and my closest coworker being out for three weeks and I need to pick up her workload somehow.

Oh, I'm so sorry you're going through so much stress. I'm glad you were able to arrange things to be able to have this taken care of. I hope all goes well and that your tests come back great on Saturday so you can get this show on the road!

Huge ((hugs)) Anita. I can totally relate to the "this is just another hoop" thought process. Sometimes it is so hard to move forward when you feel like each step results in 3 steps backwards. Take it one day at a time. Keep pushing forward.

I understand what you mean about being tired of hoops and I'm sorry you're dealing with this. However, I'm happy to hear that it won't cancel your cycle and you can get it taken care of right away

I can't imagine how frustrating that must have been to find out about the cyst. Glad you are getting it taken care of so quickly. T&P's for you as you move forward.

I'm so sorry you have to go through that! I have the same appt. next Friday and I'm a bit nervous about it too. I totally feel you about those "hoops".. just found out yesterday that the IVF injections I have to take contain gluten (I have celiac disease so my body despises the stuff) but there are no other options for me. The whole situation is terrifying but all you can do is keep going and pray for the best. ((Hugs!!))
