Nighttime Feedings

How often is your LO up? I bottle feed and my DD is up every 3-4 hours. A friend said she should be sleeping through the night but it seems to soon to me.

Nooo- i mean I breast feed, so I'm up every 2 hours. Lady couple days been up every 2.5 hours

Baby is up 2 times a night for me. DH works until 11pm so we both don't go to bed until 1am every night. After we are in bed she will wake up to feed at 3am and 6am. And then I'm up for the day around 8am.

It really depends on the size/age of your baby. My dr says at 12 lbs the baby would be ready to go 6 hrs a night. The first month my lil guys woke up every 2-3 hours. Now nearly 2 months and nearly 12 lbs each, they are doing a 5-6 hr long stretch a night.

We put her to bed around 9-10. She wakes once and nurses around 4-5am, then wakes for the day around 8-9ish. She is breastfed, almost 10 pounds, and almost 7 weeks old. She has been waking once a night on basically the same schedule since she was a week old.

It's a crapshoot. I won the lottery with her awesome sleep habits, but 95% of babies will wake more often at her age.

EBF here - our LO is asleep by 11pm, up to feed and change nappy at 4am, and up for the morning at 7:30am. Some occasional nights he'll wake up around 2am for a quick feeding and back to sleep by 2:30am, and up again for his regular 4am feeding. He's very predictable.

Between when I go to bed at 10 and when I wake up at 6, he's only awake once (sometimes twice) to feed. It seems really early to be sleeping through the night, even for a formula fed baby.

It also depends on what your definition of sleeping through the night is. If LO was sleeping like 6 hour stretches I would consider that STTN. Right now (EBF) at 6 days old thing are changing but the pattern that is arising is feeding at around 10, then again between 1&2 and then again between 5&6. Once DH goes back to work we will be"up" for the day around 5-6 since that's about when he leaves for work.

She's up once, maybe twice at night, EBF, 5wks, 10lbs.
DS was up at least every hour and a half for 2 months, and he was a big boy.
STTN is a total crapshoot.

4.5w old, she goes to bed for the night at 9:30, gives us a 3 to 4 hour stretch (6 hours last night, but that's a first!) until around 1am, then makes it until 4am and then 6. So she's up three times a night, usually nursing for 15 minutes at a time.

Mine's up two or three times a night. I try to put her down for the night by 8 and she's up between 12 and 1 for a change and to eat (formula) and then up at 4 (formula) and 6 (nurse). We're up for the day between 8 and 9. She's 6w and 10 pounds. It still seems reaaaally early to be sleeping all night without at least one feeding.

Ds is two weeks old, goes to bed at 7:30, and is up twice at night to eat

Dd is almost 2 weeks old and she goes to bed for the night around 7, up at 10 before I go to bed for feed/change, up at 2:30(ish) and then 5:30(ish). She is normally up for the day around 8 or 9...if only my 3 year old would also get up that late!!
