So we are finally sleeping pretty good at night in the crib (this was 5 1/2 months in the making). However, this child absolutely refuses to sleep in the crib for her naps. We turn on the white noise machine, close the black out curtains...everything we do at night and she still refuses. We've started putting her down drowsy but awake at night, and some nights she will fuss for a few minutes but she falls asleep pretty quick (also a new development for us). If we put her in her crib drowsy but awake for a nap she screams. Even if we try putting her in the crib completely asleep for a nap she wakes up as soon as she's in the and screams. Can anyone solve this mystery?!? Help!
Re: Nap location (sorry it's about naps again)
I told DH to try her in the pack n play today for a nap since he's home with her. Apparently it only lasted 20 minutes.
Ugh, I have no idea why she hates the crib so much for napping! (I end up letting her take a nap on me on the weekends while I'm home but DH is hot on getting her to nap in the crib)
I can put my DD down awake for naps in the crib but if I don't put her down 5-10 min before she's going to get drowsy, she will scream and scream and then I have to nurse her to sleep then place her in the crib and she's alright. She's very sensitive on the window for naps and bedtime. She needs to play/talk/roll and be happy in her crib for a few minutes before getting tired, then she will fall asleep.
Could that be it? My DD only lasts 45 minutes in the morning until she needs a nap, and usually no more then 1 hour 45 minutes in between the rest of her naps in the day. She will be fine one minute, and be very overtired the next. It's a fine line for us.
