Anyone else keep getting Colds?

This is the 3rd cold I've had since getting pregnant. Congestion, cough, and headache. I don't have allergies so I don't think that's the case. Normally a cold would take me about a week to get over but since I can't take cold medicine it takes about 2+ weeks to get over. Anyone else having frequent colds? I do have an appointment on Friday and will talk to my doctor.

Yes! Since bfp I have had strep throat with tonsillitis, sinus infection and now I am (hopefully) on the tail end of a 3 week cold. This sucks! And I was never sick when pregnant with my sons! So I feel your pain! I was told that I can take Benadryl, robitussin dm and Claritin. GL and I hope you feel better!!

"keep getting" would imply I get over one in the first place haha. I've had a bad cold for about 5 weeks. congestion, sneezing, headaches. BLAH! Hope you are able to conquer yours!

Colds, pink eye, strep throat. I'm catching it all. I did not catch anything while pregnant with DD. A toddler in daycare and a weakened immune system are not a good combo this time around.

Yes, but I think most of mine is just allergies.
I know I've had two colds, one at the very beginning and one last weekend.

Me! Me! But thankfully no medication yet and I am able to get over them eventually BUT with my pregnancy with my daughter I didn't get sick (other than morning, of course) the whole pregnancy!!!

This is me too. I've had a cold for almost 2 weeks now and it seems like it's gotten worse today. Ugh!!!

I am so pleased you posted, I thought I was a freak! I am sneezing, coughing and snorting through my second cold so far. Not as bad as the first one which had me in bed with a fever for almost a week but this one came with awesome tonsil swelling and it hurt so bad to swallow for a couple of days I honestly considered walking around with a spittoon. I don't even know who I am catching this crap from, no one around me is ill. It's like can conjure up a cold virus from thin air.

I know that it's bad to say this because we are very blessed to be carrying babies etc etc but holy shit pregnancy SUCKS! I walked around for the first four months with vomit in my hair, have constant colds/flu, feel like I ran three marathons every day before I even get out of bed, all of my leg veins have burst, I have acne like the "before" pictures in pro-active commercials, I'm borderline incontinent when I sneeze and have thighs that look like they were sculpted from cottage cheese. I am trying to run my own business while my brain is dissolving and if my clients stick with me through all this it will be a MIRACLE.

I was fine with the first it was smooth sailing but not this pregnancy I'm catching colds, always hot and hardly ever comfortable.

I just joined The Bump because I am home sick AGAIN with a cold. I have missed several days of work from being nauseous and now I am out with a cold. This is my third cold since I became pregnant - with the first cold I just had to miss a half day and the other one landed on a batch of snow days. I am so frustrated! So glad I'm not the only one in this situation.

Yep - over here! Since a week or so after bfp I've had the beginning of what I would otherwise think was a sinus infection. It varies in degree, from slight congestion and runny nose, to full on fabulous green and migraines. I'm told its "normal" and have learned to live with it - save for the migraines which are just horrible. I have taken tylenol with the migraines but it doesn't help much. I use a saline rinse every night (NeilMed) and that seems to help at least clean it out a bit. Blech.

When I woke up this morning it felt like I had razor blades in my throat. I'm a little congested now so I'm sure this is the start of one. I had a terrible cold from weeks 5-7 that felt like it would never end. I was so naive to think I'd get away with not getting sick the rest of this pregnancy!

Yes. Im currently suffering from bronchitis. ... it is the worse. Not to mention sinusitis and allergies

Yup, luckily I've been able to fight them before they turn serious, but it feels like my head has been congested for 5. Straight. Months.

So glad to see this thread, but sorry everyone is sick! I'm on my second cold since BFP. I feel bad because between work, colds, cravings, aversions, and exhaustion, this whole pregnancy should be titled, "Honey, can you take care of dinner tonight?"

::raises hand:: yup me here and feeling like I am getting another cold or something as we speak. This is beyond terrible. I am sorry for everyone that is sick and I understand. Ugh

I have been going through a box of tissues a week. It's a cross between allergies, a cold, and sinusitis. It keeps changing haha. Feel better everyone!!
