Baby Names

Girl name finalized, help with spelling/general input please

We are team green, and I believe we have finally decided on a girl name, if we have a boy his name will be baby boy at this point, poor kid.

Girl choice:
Autumn Juliet (last name rhymes with Mane)

Input? I am not set on this spelling, (hubby gives me zero input when it comes to spelling, I'm lucky to get name agreements!) Juliette seems to be more common, can anyone chime in on the differences in spelling? I'm not looking for unique, just correct. I will add I am a huge Romeo & Juliet fan, however the tie to love struck teen suicide is not so great in my book for a baby name, we mainly think it's a pretty name.

Juliet is more common, not Juliette.

Reason for different spellings — they are from different languages.

I would pronounce them differently. I prefer Juliet.

    JULIET
    GENDER: Feminine
    USAGE: English PRONOUNCED: JOO-lee-et, JOOL-yət
    Meaning & History
Anglicized form of JULIETTE or GIULIETTA. This spelling was first used by Shakespeare for the lover of Romeo in his play 'Romeo and Juliet' (1596).

    JULIETTE
    GENDER: Feminine
    USAGE: French
PRONOUNCED: zhoo-lee-ET      ⬅ big difference right there
    Meaning & History
    French diminutive of JULIE
Thank you! I knew I would get great information and clarification on the differences here :)

  • Autumn Juliet ~ very pretty!

I don't like the sound or look of Juliette. Way too frilly for my taste.
