Boy names starting with a J

When I was pregnant with DD, our boy name was Julian David. We shared our name choices, and didn't get positive feedback about Julian. Other people's opinions are not dealbreakers for us (unless they have a legitimate reason not to use a name, which nobody did - the most common feedback was either that it made people think of a character on the TV show Trailer Park Boys, or people just said things like "oh that's interesting/unique/different"). As much as we don't really care, I think the opinions did get into our heads a little because now we're not as sure about Julian as we were before.

One of my H's favourite things about the name was the potential nickname JD. David is a family name and will be the middle name if baby #2 is a boy. DD is Norah Lynn, we still like Julian and also like James. Any other suggestions for boys names starting with a J? Preferences between Julian and James?
Girl name (not set in stone but likely), for those who are curious, might be Susanna (middle name Margaret, Margot, Jane or Joan have all been floated, all family names)

Names that are out because of family/friend use or that we just don't like: John, Jayden, Jackson/Jaxon, Jerry, Jace, Jeffrey

    What is unique or different about Julian?? It's a great name but not all THAT uncommon. I prefer Julian to James, but either one is nice.

    Other J names - Joshua, Joel, Jeremiah, Jonah, Jacob.

    You can also use the Duggars' name list for inspiration. ;-)

    That was exactly my reaction! I thought it was the strangest thing that people thought it was unique, but we got that from multiple people.
    I love Jacob, but forgot to add it to the list of names we can't use, because of an association H has with it.

    Oh that's too bad, Jacob is a good one! OK, couldn't help myself, checked the names of the Duggar kids - I missed Joseph, Jason, Justin, Josiah, and Jedidiah!

    @mjreilly2 Trailer Park Boys is a Canadian show (comedy) about a group of guys who live in a trailer park. They are criminals (theft, growing/selling marijuana, etc.), always looking for a quick and easy way to earn money, and often getting caught. If you're from the States that's probably why you've never heard of it, but in Canada, at least in my area, everyone knows it. The character, while definitely not the worst of the group, is not someone you'd name a baby after - which we wouldn't be doing, anyways, we just liked the name.

    I'm in Canada and I don't watch the trailer park...it's not my thing. I think Julian is a nice name. I also really like James, Joshua, Jeremy. That's all I can think of right now.
    My suggestion would be to go with a name that you and your DH likes. It is your kid after all! Good luck with the name selecting!

    My son is named Jameson and I love love it! We have gotten great feedback on it.

    I like both James and Julian a lot. Jove is a GP name for me. Or how about Jesse?

    I love Julian. James is my H, it's a fine name, just not something I adore with a flaming passion.

    Other options that haven't been mentioned: Jack, Jared, Jay, Jerome, Jesse, Jonah, Jonathan, Julius

    Jesse is my husband's name, and he hates it. I do like Jeremiah but I know H would veto it. I think James and Julian are still my top J names based on the responses, so thank you for reinforcing that I had some good names already!

    I love Julian, it's actually the name we are considering for a boy as well. Other J names: Jerrod/Jared, Justin, Jack, Joseph, Joel, Jarret, Jed, Jett, Jason

    Those others aren't my style personally, but nobody had mentioned them so thought I'd throw them out there.
