Finally had my A/S

I went in this afternoon for my 20 week a/s. The tech was not happy that I didnt come in with a full bladder. I explained that 3 weeks ago when we were there, that they had issues seeing the baby and complained my bladder was TOO full.

They were able to get all the measurements though. :-) The MFM Dr said everything looked ok, which was a relief. Baby is weighing in about 10 ounces. LO was moving around in there, and kept his/her hands in front of its face most of the time. Between that and the fact the baby was lower in my pelvis today we didnt get any great face shots.

We are also still team green. By choice and by the fact that the baby kept its legs tightly crossed haha.

I was concerned by the fact that the baby's head measured right on track, but one of its arms seemed about 10 days behind. They didnt seem concerned by it at all, and said everything was within range and seemed fine.

All in all Im sort of dissapointed we didnt get better images but SO happy that everything seems to be going as planned in there and we are on track to having a healthy happy September baby.

Congrats baby looks healthy! The bladder thing is odd. I wasn't required to drink anything for my A/S.

I am probably going to have a full bladder during mine but before I go in I will have fasted for a GD check.. although none of this is going to happen for another month (my office doesn't do A/S until 24 weeks boo!). The doctor said they'll do the ultrasound while waiting to check my blood sugars since they have good luck getting the babies to be nice and wiggly after women are done drinking that awful sugar stuff.

So weird about the full bladder thing. They DIDN'T want mine full for my A/S and she even gave me permission halfway through to run and pee before my internal. Congrats on a healthy scan!
You had an internal at your A/S?

I had both a regular level 2 u/s for the A/S and an internal. The internal was to measure cervical length. I had a previous cervical surgery which could lead to either scar tissue, or a weakening and shortening of the cervix. My dr just wanted to check to see where we were at. So far everything looks good

I was the same way regarding the full bladder! At my dating ultrasound, they said it was too full and had a hard to navigating and this time, not full enough. Go figure
