What a crappy start...

To mothers day. I picked up DS for exs this morning. Ex sends me a flirtatious text but then proceeds to basically say that he's an awesome dad then tells me I'ma tterrible mom. My parents asked me to breakfast but right as we're leaving i checked DS for lice and he's infested...AGAIN! This happens once a month and I'm always the one who has to treat him (he gets it from exs since FI and I have never had lice and he seems to just...come back with them). Oh and my mom has decided to not be in the delivery room when LO is born...She's been at every birth and won't be for this one. I have a feeling it's due to my sister requiring her to watch her kids.

sorry if I rambled...i just needed to vent because I'm so freaking pissed right now

    That effing sucks. The lice alone would make me cry. Sorry! Hang in there.

    It's just halarious to me that ex is such a great dad as he explained to me in his text...yet I'm the one pregnant handling all the chemicals to kill the lice infestion his household gave to DS.

    @bobyn1113‌ i wish that were the case but anytime the Guardian went to do a home visit he 1) had to schedual and appointment and 2) when he went for a drop in visit they acted like they weren't home.

    As a side note the household was in the same condition and the concensus was that it was more important that DS see his dad. I've been keeping record of how DS comes back though.

    This is what I was thinking too. I had lice when I was 12, the whole softball team got it from sharing helmets, and I was miserable and the treatments are harsh. I can't imagine going through that once a month.

    Lice sucks! We dealt with it back in the fall and it was a nightmare :(

    Sending hugs your way!! This may not help much since your exes house seems to be infested with the lice but try using a shampoo with coconut oil on your son. I used suave coconut while I lived worked in an orphanage in Mexico. There is something about coconut the lice do not like.

    Thanks ladies for all your thoughts. Unfortunately it was just an all around bad day, the kind that start off pretty bad and just keep getting worse. I was glad at the end of the night to take a bath and go to bed and be done with it. I didn't find any eggs in DS hair, just live bugs which made my belief that the infestation had just started over the weekend. He required a second treatment last night and we've done a few comb through since then and haven't seen any further evidence of lice so I sent DS to school.

    I woke up in pretty intense pain at one point yesterday and when I went to the bathroom i noticed a couple of blood spots. :(

    I'm choosing to try to focus on the positives of the day- DS made me a nice card and gave me a flower pot that I'm going to plant tonight and FI got me a really nice card and chocolate covered strawberries. I'm not a fan of dark chocolate but it was sweet of him to get them anyway. My mom enjoyed her gifts from DS and I too and at the end of the night I took a nice bath which helped the pain I'd been in all day.
