Will take 3 months off and DH will take one full week and a week or two at half days, but I have a feeling he will do a lot of work while he is at home. We do have both set of parents near, so lucky there and will need it with twins!
At first, I'm not really sure how nights will go with two, but hopefully he will help out. After about 2-3 months, and I start pumping, we can work out a schedule so each of us can get a chunk of sleep each since we will both be working. When I oh back, mom will do one day, MIL one day and nanny 3 days!
I'm taking 3-6 months MAT leave. I'm playing it by ear to see how things go and ensure LO doesn't lose her spot at daycare. My mom gets a week, then MIL, finally DH will be home for a week.
Since I'll be home, most duties will be mine. However, from 5-11 pm, I expect DH to do much more. It will be interesting how this all works out.
I'm taking 12 weeks of maternity leave starting on 6/27 (the day before my due date). Technically it's 6 weeks STD and 6 weeks NJFLA, if we're being specific.
DH will stay home for about a week. His job doesn't do much as far as time off, so he can only use accrued PTO time.
Thankfully, my mom lives 5 miles down the road and will be over daily to help me out, and will take over watching LO when I return to work. As far as splitting duties when DH is home, he fully expects to do just as much work as I have to do, but we haven't really doled out specific duties. Since I will be BFing, I expect he'll change significantly more diapers than I will to make up for it.
I will be SAHM and plan on doing most of the duties, especially during the day. My husband works from home and has a very flexible schedule so I know he will help out a lot. He is really looking forward to it. He keeps saying baby girl is going to hang out with him in his office.
