I had my NT scan today. Even with all the recent losses we've seen on this board, I was naively confident that everything was going to go well. We just heard the heartbeat 3 weeks ago at 10 weeks. I felt so positive about this pregnancy.
Today there was no heartbeat. Baby measured 11w4d and I should be 12w6d. I knew something was wrong when I saw no movement or heartbeat on the screen.
We are just shocked and devastated. Everything seemed to be going well. I know you are never 100% in the clear, but the chances of this happening after hearing the heartbeat at 10 weeks was so low. I've had no spotting or cramping or anything. In retrospect, I have noticed a loss of symptoms this week, but I thought that was because I was almost in the second trimester.
I have a D&C scheduled for Tuesday. I don't know how we are going to tell SD. Fuck, I don't know how I'm going to handle Mother's day. This is going to be a very painful weekend. This is my second loss in a row. I had a chemical pregnancy the cycle before this pregnancy. We are planning to start trying again after the waiting period (one cycle). Heading back over to TTGP.
I'll be lurking here and rooting for all of you ladies. I truly hope you all have a healthy and happy pregnancy! I'll miss you ladies!
