I had a store clerk ask me yesterday when I was due, blah blah blah. Then she said, "It's a girl??"
Not "is it a boy or a girl?" -- just "It's a girl?" (I was buying hand towels and hand soap, so no baby clues in my purchases. The towels were even blue, so...)
We're keeping the sex a secret (except for here), and I am not even telling random strangers like this store clerk because I don't want to let it slip to non-randoms.
I am amazed at how many people are assuming it's a girl, though. Is it because women secretly hope all babies are girls? Is it because I am a girl, and it just looks like I would be having a girl?
I am not really annoyed or anything. I just find it sort of funny.

When I told her we already knew, but weren't telling, she still expected an answer. Um, we want THIS baby, of course!
