What's your favorite sport to watch? Play?

watch - football. DH taught me the basics of how to watch it. Before I had no idea what was going on. I actually enjoy it. I don't play any sports worth a crap, unless you include the sport of shopping.

I don't really watch any sports. I'll occasionally watch the equestrian sports though, mostly hunter/jumper because that's what I used to do. Not for a long time though...I may break a horse's back now.

To play: rugby or swimming

But for real... I don't watch or play any sports. I just have no interest. I'm going to try to get into Baseball because H and DS1 love it, but H seriously had to explain the very basics of the game to me just the other day.

To watch: football
Play: basketball, softball, volleyball in that order. I miss my playing days.

To watch, it would probably be horse racing, or really any kind of equestrian sport. I also like basketball quite a bit, mostly because I used to play. I don't follow either religiously though.

As long as we're talking about 'real sports'

Watch: baseball. I like to watch gymnastics and figure skating during the Olympics.

Play: lacrosse.

Watch: basketball, but I usually only actually watch if UK is playing.

Play: volleyball or air hockey (does air hockey count? I hope so because I'm amazing at it).

It is essentially bean bag tossing. There are boards and you get it in the hole or on the board for points and the team with the most points wins. It is more fun than it sounds.

Watch: Hockey, CFL football, any winter skiing/snowboarding stuff, horse jumping, speed skating, etc, etc..

Play: skating, snowboarding, or anything not team related.

Growing up in Chicago we called it "bags", here in northern California my husband calls it "sack toss". I cringe every time he says it.

I think this is a regional thing. Both the game and the name. I've NEVER even heard of the game until I came to TB. It might just be my circle, but it's not played here among anyone I know at all.
