@Lelo2006‌ can I join too? Apparently my name is a derivative of 'Shoshanna' which was a man's name.... Like 5,000 years ago....

I go by my full name. Friends either call be by my full name or by Jo sometimes Joey. So add me to the boys name faction. I think DH has only ever called me by my full name 4 times in the 13 years that I have known him.

I go by my full name Rowan. People have had trouble pronouncing my name so when introducing myself I say "hi, I'm Rowan, like rowing a boat." I drop of the g and make it sound like rowin.
Friends call me Ro, family Rowie. I answer to anything.

Full name - you can't really shorten Rhonda. Although I do have a couple of friends who try. One calls me Rhon. And the other, Rho.

Just plain Carrie... my dad calls me carrot cake, carrot and care bear. My mom sometimes calls me care bear, and my brother calls me care bear... but these are not "short" versions of my name.

I introduce myself as Jen. Close friends call me Jennie Lynn or Jennie. The only person who calls me Jennifer is my FIL. Drives me nuts. To me, my full name has only ever been used when I was in trouble or by people who didn't like me. FIL is not my favorite person so... Go figure.

No short version of my form of staci either. So yeah.
As a mother to an Elizabeth, can our Elizabeth's here tell me if they decided their nickname or if it's what their parents called you? My Elizabeth goes by either full name or Eliza. I don't care for the other nicknames (except Betty. Love Betty but it didn't fit her.) So I'm hoping she doesn't change it later but it's her name so it's her choice. Just curious about you ladies.

I often wonder how Josephine will do hers too @meimsx I call her Josephine, but she also gets called Josie and Jos... I prefer Josephine, and I hope she does too. It annoys me when people ask me what her name is and I say Josephine and they immediately call her Josie afterwards... It's stupid I know, but I named her Josephine.

This is so cute.
My sister couldn't say "leslie" for a while growing up; she just called me "Lessie." My 35 year old brother still calls me Lessie sometimes, haha!
