When I first wake up - my husband brings me a few crackers and I try to not just jump out of bed. I found if I take 15 minutes or so and sort of wake up first it helps. Throughout the day I have found that eating small meals (toast) helps a little. I also try to get up and walk around when i can, it helps! I do keep a small bottle of ginger ale at my desk - I know its full of sugar but I take some sips when i start to feel queasy - it helps!
Everyone is different so you might to play around with a few different things to see what works for you. I found some great articles on the internet which post great ideas. For me it was trial and error and some days those things work fine and other days they don't!
Thanks. I've tried all the norms including the ones you have mentioned however NOTHING is working. I'm miserable most of my day. I feel ok in the morning (In comparison to the rest of the day) but after I eat it's all bad. My sickness wasn't this bad w/my first, it's almost unbearable and I can't function. I'll keep trying. Thanks!
I found crystallized ginger was very helpful. I had the Dr prescribe a prescription for Zofran to help me when I had to go to a wedding and for the couple days leading up to the wedding I felt sea sick. From the food front, I found pretzels, toast, apple sauce, and chicken broth with rice helpful. Taking naps was benefitial.
It is true that everyone is different and it's also kind of a moving target, so what works one day might not work the next. Chewing gum seems to be the number one fix for me at the moment. I was taking unisom at night, but I was so tired of feeling drugged so I stopped that.

Hopefully that helped a little!
