The nursery was ready to go, all but a dresser for baby clothes. We decided to head out to IKEA ang get one. I thought all that walking would have been good for me, but it turns out that it was the perfect necessity to cause my water to 'pop' I say pop because that's what it felt like. We went immediately to the hospital (11:50pm). I would have waited longer, but I was a scheduled c-section with a specific that I should not go into labor.
After being checked in and tested, it was confirmed that I had indeed broken my water and was in labor!
Doctor came in and told me my surgery was to be done first thing in the morning.
After a sleepless night full of anticipation, then a slight delay in surgery due to another Caesarian emergency, the surgery was under way.
Lily Anne was born May 3rd at 11:35 am CST and weighed 5lbs 4oz. She spend 4 days in the NICU for hypoglycemia and respiratory issues, but was brought to room in as of last night. We are scheduled to go home sometime today :)
