@hope2bmom83 and @gsancho congrats on the weight loss.
So far I'm down 4lbs in almost 2 months. Not much but one of those months I was on a medicated cycle and they normally make me gain weight. I've gained 20lbs in the last year thanks to surgery on my head, 4 pregnancies and 3 medicated cycles and a lot of bed rest so I'm trying really hard to jump start my metabolism. I've been going to the gym 5 days a week running 2 miles and walking 1 at a incline and doing weights. I'm not big on dieting so I'm just trying to eat less and eating more vegetables.
I'm starting on bc tomorrow for 3 weeks before I start stimming for IVF so I'm hoping to get another 4lbs or more down in the next 3 weeks.
My biggest weakness is a good hamburger with lots of mayo and French fries. I've been grilling burgers at home for my fix using lean beef and sandwich rounds instead of buns. I've also been baking these tater rounds that are so good.
My hobbies are DIY projects and gardening.
- What is your weight loss/get healthy goal? 15lbs. down in the month of April. I am hoping for 10 more for the month of May. Looking at the big picture is a bit daunting but I need to lose about 100lbs. I think a loss of 30 would make my RE really happy!
- What method are you using to help reach your goal? Low carb, high lean protein, cut out everything that was processed, making water my main beverage! Also, my DH is 100% committed with me so its really helping to keep both of us accountable. We are hoping that with his weight loss this month that it could start helping his MFI.
- What is your biggest weakness that you just can't resist?Anything crunchy, I am a very savory munchie person and I miss everything salty and crunchy.
QTOW: What is your favorite hobby? I love any DIY project! Anything for the house or a present for someone, I love being able to personalize it and make it special for someone!**June Celebrity Crush**

Went to OBGYN in August 2013-Referred us to UCONN RE in September 2013

DH met with Urologist nothing is "wrong" just very low count and low mobility

IUI Cycle #2-Clomid 50 mg 5/9-BFN
IUI Cycle #3-(RE Office called us in for a back to back IUI for another SA) 5/12-BFN
*Husband's count is still very low post wash however after 4+ months on supplements, vitamins, and a healthy lifestyle (aka no beer) his mobility has doubled! I am very happy for him, small victories!
May 2014-RE wants us to progress to IVF as 3 failed IUI's.
IVF Seminar meeting on 6/12 & then meeting with RE on 7/9 to come up with our plan for our miracle baby!
I've posted before, but never kept up with it. I'm going to try to make this thread my regular jam
- What is your biggest weakness that you just can't resist? Carbs! Potatoes and Pizza mostly. It's what I crave when I'm stressed out.
- What is your weight loss/get healthy goal? I would like to lose 130 lbs. But I'd settle for 100. I'm down 27.8 pounds since January 1st
- What method are you using to help reach your goal? Basically modified Atkins diet, to include only real food. I'm not much into the artificial sweeteners and other crap in the diet. It's pretty limiting, but I do have weekly "cheat" days. It works for me, and makes it easier to embrace the lifestyle change knowing that I can have pizza, just not today.
QTOW: What is your favorite hobby? That's a tough one. I love watching pretty much anything that appears on Masterpiece Claissics--British Period Pieces. I also love reading, and enjoy just being outside on beautiful days. DH and I also have a mean mini golf battle on.1) I am trying to keep numbers out of my head, but I am about 110 lbs from my goal. I have lost 30 lbs since mid January.
3) I feel like I have lots of weaknesses! haha. I love wine and cheese. I have a hard time saying no to chocolate and baked goods. I could survive most days on Cheez-its and stovetop popcorn with lots of butter. And much to my chagrin, I recently discovered the amazing-ness that is Salted Carmel Gelato. Everything in moderation, right?
Hobbies? I really love to read and spoil my puppy.
Congratulations to everyone on their successes this week!

Took a break to prepare for IVF
Surprise BFP - September 2015 - MMC at 6 weeks, 5 days
Another surprise BFP - November 2015 - EDD: July 8th!
- What is your weight loss/get healthy goal? I'm currently 140lbs. I want to get back to 120. I would honestly settle for 125 or 127 at this point.
- What method are you using to help reach your goal? I'm going gluten free and trying to stick to an organic, mostly whole food diet (just a few processed foods, as long as they are organic).
- What is your biggest weakness that you just can't resist? ALL THE JUNK!
QTOW: What is your favorite hobby? Currently? Writing. Of course, I'm writing a novel with the intent to publish, so I don't know at what point this is no longer just a hobby. FWIW, I really enjoy it still. Having some writer's block this week, though. Grr.ETA: I'm 5'4", so that should tell you that my BMI is borderline on overweight. My clothes say I definitely need to lose at least ten pounds.

@autumnray I so feel your pain. We all have those days. You have two options, stay strong, or let yourself have one day and get back on it tomorrrow.... orrrrrrr you could do both, stay strong but give yourself one treat. Just eat it really slowly so it will last longer!

I would like to join this group if its okay! I don't have much weight to lose, but I eat so unhealty and have put on some weight w/ all this medicine. I'm petite, so it doesn't sound like a lot, but its very noticable. Plus I used to be a runner and want to get back into it because I've lost all my motivation.
@hope2bmom83 & @modernfairytale8709 I ran my first marathon last year. Before that I could barely run 2 miles w/ out stopping. I do have some tips because I truley think anyone can do it. 1) Like a PP said, you need to get good shoes. There are stores that watch you walk/job and put you in a shoe that is perfect for your foot. Everyone's different, you can't just buy a shoe on sale. Def. learned my lesson. 2) Start w/ a distance, like 1 mile. Go that distance no matter if you run or walk part of it. Don't increase until you can jog the whole thing, then add distance. Running a 12 min. mile pace is fantastic. Who cares, you're doing it. 3) Run 3 days a week. Two of the days should be your shorter jogs and then on Saturday/Sunday do the "long" run for the week. The couch to 5k I've heard is an awesome plan to follow too 5) Give it two weeks. Stay dedicated and I promise it is amazing how you will notice how much better you are.
Now I need to listen to my own advice lol. I swear the hardest part is getting dressed & walking out the door.

Thanks @MissEm15 that's helpful information.
I did some checking around online, and finally settled on this pair, after reading multiple reviews:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0087RICZS/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got the boring black color, because they were the only color on sale in my size. Boo. But I'll take it if it means I can get fantastic shoes at a discounted price.
Because I'm a nerd, I also bought the socks to go with them. I've found lately that I've been getting blisters from my feet sliding around inside my shoes, and that my socks were really too thin to use for extended workouts.
@hope2bmom83 I'll be your workout motivation buddy! I feel like we're in similar situations, with me being slightly further from my weight loss goal than you are.
yes @ MissEm15 thanks so much, I will try these things and report back!
@moderfairytale8709 that would be awesome! I used to use my fitbit and would always try to beat my daily steps, but I lost it at the mall last weekend so now i'm just making myself do it. I'm going to try today to do day 1 of Couch 2 5K over again. We will see how I do.

This is the website I use to order my shoes... I know that I need arch support. & if they will let you send them back for a new pair if they aren't for you, even after you run in them a couple times. I linked their shoe finder page...
