I am so sorry to hear about your friend. We have a very close family friend (DH's best since since the age of 7) Who is on his second battle with colon cancer. He was first diagnosed 4 years ago at age 26 and was in remission. This year it came back with a vengeance at stage 4. He just under went a 12 hour surgery to remove any and all visible cancer and has been doing chemo and radiation. He has 2 little boys and it breaks my heart! I am SO SORRY your friend lost his battle and it makes it a little tougher to know his daughter will grow up without her daddy. Thoughts and prayers to you and his family during this tough time!!

I'm so very sorry to hear about your friend, scarf.

No need to apologize. June needs to unclench if that's all it takes to get them in a tizzy. If they generalized everyone giving birth in August based on that, they are in the wrong, not you or anyone else that posted.

Soooo sorry to hear about your friend @scarfbandit

I personally didn't have a problem with the thread. I chose to avoid it when it became more than I wanted to read. As I mentioned on FFFC, I've just been more irritated when it seemed like so many threads continued to turn into that. But that one? You specifically stated what it was. I can avoid it; I'm a big girl!
I also only commented on June's thread to say it wasn't EVERYONE in August!
But I still love all y'all! You've been amazing to me

Hello ladies! Reporting in from June 14. You know, the pearl clutching, canasta playing, decaf drinking jealous bitties with cobwebs in our vaginas. Just wanted to say: what is TB for if not for entertainment?? Someone on our BMB saw the title and got curious. They were shocked and entertained and posted it for the rest of us to read.

Our reactions were mixed, much like yours have been. Mostly just shock or we wouldn't discuss it on the internet for everyone to read because of: X,Y,Z. A few of your board members come over to ours and made comments so obviously we weren't the only ones that were bored, huh? We never "flamed" you. In fact your board has said worse things about us in this thread then we said about yours in ours. So thanks for that.

@scarfbandit - sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I'm glad to know you have the support of your BMB to get you through it. Don't apologize for starting a "scandalous" thread. It's out there, own it girl! Let your freak flag fly.
