Do you think it would be possible to do a search for your birth story thread (if you posted one) and post a link to it? I think I started coming around after our babies were a few months old, so I'd like to reminisce! I found mine not that long ago, but it took a little time to find it. Let me see if I can find it again...

BFP#2 2/3/12 ~ Alice born 9/26/12
Love this idea! I never posted my birth story as life was extremely hectic after birth, adjusting to being parents, recovery from birth and then my MIL’s death ten days after delivery. So my birth story is below if you want it. ..
Wesley Thomas was born Sunday October 14, 2012 (4 days late) at 11:48 pm weighing 7 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long.
On Saturday Oct 13 I had just had my nails done and was telling my friend (who does my nails) that I was tired of being pregnant and could not wait until my induction date on October 19. She said that she had heard that sometimes having your nails done or a pedicure can induce labor. I laughed at the time, but I do think it helped. I drove home from my appointment and as I was getting out of the car to go into the house around 5:30pm. My water broke. I originally thought that I had just peed myself so I went in showered, changed and sat on the couch, when I got up 20 minutes later a gush of water came out and I told my husband that I think my water may have broke or I had just peed myself. I finally called my mom around 6:30 and told her that my water might have broken. She asked how come and I said that I didn’t think it was possible to pee for over a hour. She came over to pick up me and my husband and take us up to the hospital. My H was freaking out and was in no condition to drive. We arrived at the hospital at about 7:15pm I was taken to L & D and they tested to make sure that it really was fluid and not urine. Test came back positive and I was admitted and set up in a lovely room.
My doctor came in a saw me around 10 pm and since I was only dilated to a 1 and wasn’t having any contractions she started me on pitocin and told me to get some sleep and she would see me in the morning. I didn’t sleep to much and was begging for a epidural around 6 am. I finally got my epidural at 730am that morning and when my doctor came in around 8 am she said I was only dilated to a 3 and turned up the pitocin. She said that if I didn’t have the baby by 5 pm that day, then she would prep me for a c-section as it would have been 24 hours since my water broke.
My mom arrived around 8:30am with breakfast for my husband and I was super jealous as I was starving and couldn’t eat. I don’t care how many flavors they have for ice chips, it’s not the same as eating! My doctor came back and checked on me a few more times during the day and by 5 pm I was finally at a 8. I begged her to give me a little bit longer to have a vaginal birth instead of a c section and she said that since I don’t have a infection and baby is still doing fine she will let me go a little longer and see, but if anything changes then it was a definite c-section.
My epidural wore off around 7:00 pm and I was in so much pain! I give major props to all the moms who do it med free. I was freaking out, and told the nurse that I will just stay pregnant for the rest of my life that I can’t do it anymore. They had the anesthesiologist come back down and give me other epidural and 6 boosters of pain meds until I finally felt more in control and the pain was a bit more manageable. At 11:00 pm my doctor came in and said that she was going to start prepping me for a c-section as it looks like I am still not quite ready yet. I never did go into labor on my own all of this was the pictocin that I was on. It had been 30 hours since my water broke and she didn’t want to wait any longer, Lucky for me my H looked down and said that he can see something coming and it was Wesley’s head, so we started to push and I was able to deliver him vaginally with only half hour of pushing! I was exhausted and hungry and so happy. He was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. My doctor put him on my chest and I got to hold him as she stitched me up and finished taking care of everything, he even peed on me! We were both released from the hospital on Tuesday and it has been one rollercoaster ride since, but I treasure every moment of it.
I am sure I am forgetting a few things as it has been so long, but you get the main idea! And a picture of my handsome little man just a few minutes after birth!
StefanieM522 and Wesley were on their way home), 4 days before my due date. 7 lbs 4 oz and 19.9 inches long.
I had gestational diabetes which required a scheduled induction before my due date. It was originally scheduled to start Tuesday 10/9 at 8PM, but we received a call from my OB at 6:30 saying that nope, hospital was too full and seeing as I wasn't quite at 39 weeks, we were to wait until Sunday 10/14.
Sunday rolls around, have a nice dinner with my parents and dropped the dog off, head to the hospital that night... I was 1.5-2 cm when admitted. I had a bulb catheter inserted (which was awful!) and left in overnight. Next morning I had progressed (via brute force from my catheter friend) to 3 cm, but baby was still high. Pitocin was started and my blood sugar checked every 4 hours. By 5pm I had made no more progress. The dr. was still unable to break my water and I broke down crying at this point. Pitocin turned off, I was able to get a shower, eat dinner, and explore the hospital a bit more than the 3 L & D hallways.
My mom stayed with me Monday night and sent DH home to get one last proper night's sleep (neither of us slept the night before) and they were able to give me an Ambien. Pitocin started bright and early again on Tuesday at 5 am. Dr. broke my water around 9, had horrible back labor for a few hours, all while having my blood sugar checked every hour because I was in active labor... 2:30 pm Dr. checked me again and I was still at 3 cm. We decided it was time for a c-section.
Anna came out screaming and I was able to see her little feet kicking over that the warmer. DH went to check her out and she immediately calmed down when she heard Daddy's voice. He happened to glance over at me and saw that all of my intestines and organs were plopped out on my chest haha. After she was wiped up and bundled, he was able to bring her over to show me.
Mid-surgery I went from ice cold to super hot and nauseous and began throwing up the one popsicle and Sprite that I was allowed to eat that day. Apparently they give you Pitocin after a c/s to help your uterus contract and stop bleeding. After 2 days of a Pitocin IV, it wasn't working. A backup OB was called in to assist, I was given a shot of epinephrine. DH was getting quite freaked out and I was totally out of it. Luckily my doctor was able to get the bleeding under control pretty quickly and I didn't need a blood transfusion.
Anna was immediately placed on my chest as we left the OR and were wheeled back to my room. We got to spend about a hour and a half nursing and handing out as a family of three. My awesome nurse grabbed our camera and took some pics for us, seeing as DH and I completely forgot. She also went out to the waiting room to let our family know that she was here and we were both ok.
ETA: added weight and length
Cecelia was born on 10/13/12 at 920 pm. I was hanging at home and my water broke at 730pm. I thought I had all the time in the world. I packed my bag, ate a sandwich. But within 20 min the contractions were intense and maybe 2 min apart. By the time we got to the hospital, I was dying. Long story short, by the time they admitted me, got me into l&d, asked all their questions, my contractions were right on top of each other. The nurse goes to check me and gets this weird look on her face. I ask how many cm dilated I am and she says "don't freak out. But. You're 10 cm and the baby is crowning. We're going to go push now" . I realized that meant no epidural or pain meds and started crying. ( I also was GBS positive and got no meds for that because there was no time) So, we moved into my birthing suite, I pushed for 10 min, and out she came. My doctor just made it to my room on my last push. The nurse actually delivered her bc my doc didn't have his gloves and gown on yet. She was 17 inches long and 5.6 lbs.
And that is how I ended up completely med free ( but no IV, which was nice) and why I was worried with my March 14 baby I'd be one of those ladies whose baby comes so fast they deliver on the side of the road.

Here is a short version from my blog.
Now, I am in my deer stand, so please excuse any typing errors. It's tough to scan the woods and type simultaneously. Friday started off like any other Friday. I felt a little different, but it was the third day of that. Looking back, I did alot of cleaning at work. When I left, my desk appeared as if I never paned on coming to with on Monday. I went to bowling. My average last year was about 140. My average this year is currently 167 after 12 , games. That baby bump was a good luck charm -that's just one of the reasons I'm sad it's gone. During bowling I did feel some paons, but not uncommon for bowling when very pregnant. My games were: 181, 189, 159. That's the best series I've ever had. It was amazing. So, I get in my car and feel a pain, look at the clock, 9:28. I then drive to mcdonalds to celebrate my awesome bowling. Leaviing there I realize it happened again, 8 minutes later. Huh. I get closer to home and then again I feel it. I then realized that the pains during bowling were contractions and I'm in labor. I get home around 10 and hubby is not there. Call him twice-nothing. Then I get a text, "be home in 10 minutes.".
He gets home....obviously under the influence of alcohol. Great. We spend some time arguing about if he is drunk or not, while he eats. He was actually kind of funny. when I told him I thought I was in labor, he was ready to go.I send him off to bed and start timing. I made some calls and tried to sleep. After a quick shower, we left for the hospital at 2:30am. We had to get gas and call 911, other than that, it was uneventful. The 1.5 hour drive was made and I didn't even remember a towel to sit on! stupid! We parked at childrens and walked through the tunnel to abbott. We only got lost once. When we got there my contractions were 2 minutes apart and lasting 70 seconds. Oops. A short time later my water broke and then I felt pain. Back labor. Basically there wasn't a break between and it was ask back labor. He wasn't coming into the canal and his heart rate would dip to 60 during contractions. We decided an epidural was best, a quick csection seemed inevitable. We were so scared. I kept asking them to "get it out". His heart rate didn't even read sometimes, I just stated at the machine waiting. No deer yet, but I'm watching four pheasants...they were thirsty.
I now have a black mink or fisher playing in front of me. It's the neatest thing. I'm fighting the urge to shoot it.
Anyways, by the time they decide to do something, I'm able to push. The epidural took the back pain away, but that was it. I could feel contractions, use my legs, etc. I pushed and he wasn't moving. They used the vacuum. All that did was give him a red circle for over a week. Then he decided to do ac section and quickly. It took forever to go numb. They kept doing tests that I could feel, it made me nervous. Long story, sorry. My favorite part was watching them close me up. Kidding, that was cool, but not the best part. Hubby is the one who told me it was a boy. I had to ask twice, but his face was the best thing ever. It brings tears to my eyes. That's about it. The hunt is on now-I've seen some bucks-i just need the one with my name on it. Thanks for reading.

I didn’t sleep much the night before my C-section. I was too anxious plus we let Kylie sleep with us and she is a crazy sleeper. 6:00am on 10/25 I decided to just get up and get ready. Did my hair and makeup and cleaned up the house. Nic and Kylie got up around 7:00am and my Mom showed up around 8:00am. Nic decided that was the time for him to get on the roof and clean our gutters!!!! We had to leave in 30 min and he is up on the roof. Finally we leave for the hospital with a quick stop at Sonic for some ice.
We get settled in our room at the hospital and the nurse told me not to tell anyone I had some ice. That they might push me back. Nobody ever told me I couldn’t have ice. So anyway a lot of different things happen in the next two hours. IVs, Blood draw, drink some sour stuff and then walks in our anesthesiologist Greg. We personally requested Greg b/c he was so fantastic when we had Kylie. Greg came in and explained how the spinal worked, threw some scrubs at Nic and Greg and I walked into the OR.
I hopped up on the OR table. I hunched over a pillow and he gave me my numbing shot. It burned for a few seconds but it didn’t really hurt. Then we started chit chatting about scuba diving and next thing I knew he was telling me he was done with the spinal. I didn’t even feel it. I laid back and very quickly had no feeling in my lower half. I started to feel really anxious and nauseous. I was just trying to breathe through it and Greg looked at me and said, “You are not feeling well are you?” I told him how I was feeling and he injected my IV with something. Within 1 minute I was feeling so much better. Then Nic was brought in. We were all just laughing and joking and then walked in Dr. Freeman. He reminds me of Santa Claus. Throughout the whole surgery we were all talking and joking. I could feel pressure but not pain.
Finally I heard her beautiful cry and burst into tears! She weighed 8lbs 3oz 20in long. When they brought her to me I said she is so tiny. Dr. Freeman laughed and said I would hardly call an 8lb baby tiny. I reminded him my first was 10lbs and then he agreed that she probably does look tiny J
Recovery went so smoothly. Nic and Kylie came back to visit with me while I was waiting for the nurse to bring Nora back to me. Once Nora was with me she BF’d right away like a champ. Kylie spent a lot of the day with us at the hospital and it was really wonderful having both of my daughters here with me.
