~ Labor Update for Curlylocks3 ~ UPDATE #5 - POST-BABIES! (in OP)

Labor buddy, reporting for duty!

Late last night, I heard from @curlylocks3 that she was pretty sure her water broke - she was right!

Since then, she's at the hospital, checked in.  Has the epidural in and pitocin is going - mainly to help regulate her contractions, as they were spazzing a bit.  Last I heard (about four hours ago), she was dilated to nearly 4cm and Mumble was at a +1 station.

I'm waiting to hear more, and once I do, I will update here - in the original post (so as to keep it nice and orderly like).  

So, c'mon Mumble and Hugsy!  Let's go, Science Babies!! We can't wait to meet you!


UPDATE #1 (1:05 EST)
Just heard again from Curls - she is at 8cm, got her epidural redosed, and while her contractions aren't too horribly uncomfortable, she can't ignore them either.  Sounds like things are going well!

UPDATE #2 (2:50 EST) 
Another quick update - @curlylocks3 is a champ!  She's at 9cm, lots and lots and lots of pressure, and Mumble is super low.  Twinletts are dealing well!

UPDATE #3 (4:15 EST)
Got a note from curls that they were moving her to the OR (standard operating procedure for twins, just in case they have to move to a section quickly) to start pushing at 3 her time, which is 4:00 EST.  Sending good pushing thoughts - can't wait to hear about the twins!

UPDATE #4 (7:15 EST)
Sorry for the delay - I got the text a little while ago but tonight is my upper school night and I've been actually doing my job!!! (SHOCKER)

Apparently Baby B (Hugsy) had a bit of a dramatic entrance - she's sending details later

Mumble was born at 4:10 PM weighing 4#2oz - says she looks great
Hugsy followed at 4:33 PM weighing 4#15oz - NICU said he was going to need respiratory support but he's actually on room air now. They are waiting on additional testing on him.

So, congrats to @curlylocks3 - we are so excited for you!!!

UPDATE #5
Got to text with my favorite LB tonight - she seems to be recovering well, twins are doing well.  She says she hopes to post her birth story soon.  (Spoiler alert - she's a fucking rock star.  I laughed, I cried, I gave it two thumbs up.)
