    That is disgusting. I am so sorry she said that to you and is being such an asshat. That whole "God doesn't approve of mixed race couples" is completely unbiblical. How dare she speak those hateful words as being from God. Even if this is "her loss" as many people have said, it was still a hurtful experience that you didn't deserve.

    I am so sorry you were treated so poorly today, especially by your future child's grandmother.  I'm glad he spoke up for you because that speaks volumes as to the type of person he is, as well as where you stand in his life.  You will have a beautiful child and a wonderful life with or without her, and it's only her loss for being such a nasty person. 

    I couldn't be more disgusted by this.  She should be ashamed of herself to even think she has the right to say what God thinks is right because hatefulness is NOT something God is about. 

    I am so sorry.  I'm speechless beyond profanity, so I will leave my comments to what's above.

    That's exactly how it's supposed to be.  Stand up to you in front of others and let you hear the truth behind closed doors.  Spouses are supposed to have each other's back regardless if they're right or wrong.  I'm glad to hear your husband is doing it right.  Again, I'm so sorry.

    I'm sorry she was so ugly to you like that and I agree with PP.  The important thing is that your husband stood up for you - you are a lucky woman and chose quite well! :)  People can be absolutely disgusting though they are all within their right to feel however they feel.  Just as you are within your right to have nothing to do with them, regardless of their affiliation to you (family, friends or otherwise). 

    It sounds like you and your husband will have a loving and healthy small family unit within yourselves - you should be very proud of that!  GL.

    I'm sorry that you had to go through that.  It sounds like your life would be better without her.   Some people just love to be miserable and want everyone around them to be miserable too.  I went through something similar with my dads family and cutting them out of my life was the best thing I ever did.

    Oh honey, I am so sorry.  That is horrible and disgusting.  I know that this kind of hatred exists in the world but it still drops my jaw every time.  I'm so sorry that you were subjected to that and that she called your sweet baby and any future children "mutt children."
