Iron pills don't agree with me, so my midwife told me to take a tablespoon of molasses twice a day for the iron. I started that up last week because I felt like I was dragging...and my leg/foot cramps stopped! I then looked at it more closely, and it has more potassium in a tablespoon than a serving of coconut water or banana, both of which I hate! It's been sooo nice not waking up with a charlie horse or having to get up to stretch my feet on tiptoes when I get a foot cramp. I literally just down a spoonful in the morning and a spoonful before bed, it's kind of like taking a shot. You can also mix it with a glass of milk but I don't like that as much. Or molasses cookies, or molasses on oatmeal...anything to get it in your system. It's a wonderful thing

Do you think it causes constipation like iron pills? I am supposed to start taking iron pills but am hesitant because early on I has a lot of problems with constipation.
