Just wanted to share what was, to me, an amusing moment at my last OB appointment. I recently moved to a new area and just had my first appointment with the doctor at my new practice. I had originally gone to another OB but they refused to consider VBAC so I switched to my current practice. When the doc asked why I switched I said it was because, even though I'm still not 100% decided that I want a VBAC, I want the option. Her response? "Oh, good, great, yeah, we really push" - pauses - realizes what she just said - I suggest "encourage?" - and she says "yeah, encourage VBAC". It didn't really strike me until later but it was pretty funny. And after reading some of the posts here I'm feeling really fortunate that I not only have the option for a VBAC but have a doctor who really seems on board with it. I only wish everyone else who wanted one could have such an experience. Best of luck to everyone here
