Feeling crappy

So I was not expecting nausea to return. I am 38 weeks and feel like I have morning sickness all over again, along with being extremely tired. Today is not a good day. Stm+ should I expect to feel like this until I deliver? The fatigue I understand but the nausea has got to go!

Re: Feeling crappy

  • I was really nauseous on Tuesday and Wednesday this week at 38 weeks too. I had lots of contractions on Tuesday so I thought that's what it was from but the nausea went away by Thursday afternoon. I remember having more trouble with reflux though. The OB said that at this point the baby is taking up so much room that it's pretty common to not feel real well. I've been taking Zantac to help.

  • Mine came back with the heartburn and reflux a few weeks ago. Sorry you feel so gross!

  • Ok hopefully mine will ease up then also! I have been eating more tums I've noticed so my reflux is worse too. Fun stuff!
  • I know we all feel uncomfortable by now and its totally normal but I am feeling like I cannot make it another two weeks until my due date :(

I'm only 36w3d and I've had several moments today where I felt like that too. Hang in there!

I was hit with a sudden bout of it last week, mainly occurring in the mornings. One of DH's female co-workers said it happens when the baby drops. Dont know if its true or not, but its one thought that has made me think positively about spending so much time in the bathroom.

  • I have felt like morning sickness has shown up the last week or so. I feel super nauseated each morning until around lunch. I have heard of this happening, and it is not fun at all. I would assume it will go away soon....or at least I hope.

  • Heartburn and nausea are back with a vengeance-- the ONLY thing that I have found helpful is taking chewable papaya enzymes- you can buy them at
Whole foods or natural food stores. Seriously tho- 100 times more helpful than Tums

Mine hasn't dropped yet, at least not completely. It got worse when she figured out that head down was better than transverse and her little bum/legs got up under my stomach. It actually gets better when she hangs out lower.

My OB said that it's just digestion slowing down as baby takes up more space and everything is more compressed. Plus the hormones working overtime to loosen muscles and joints also loosen the esophagus and other things that make for happier digestion.

  • Mine still has her butt in my ribs so she has not dropped I dont think.
  • I'm 37w5d and was just diagnosed with pneumonia so I absolutely feel your pain!
My biggest issue is I'm coughing SO hard that it's literally making me vomit..on too of being full term and chasing around a VERY active 6.5 year old. Hang in there momma! We're almost there!
  • The nausea returned at 37 weeks, and for the last week I've had stuffy-head, headache, fever spells. Exciting.
  • Im sorry you ladies ate sick :( I really should not be complaining because it could be worse! I slept 12 hours last night and feel a little better :)
