In L&D-it's baby day! Update 3-she's here!!

Have some downtime right now and DH is napping so thought I'd post :)

Water broke at 3:30am after lots of back ache yesterday/night. Headed into triage right away since I'm GBS+. Kept leaking all the way there and while I was getting checked out. An hour later I was admitted and starting waking the halls. LO is sunny side up so back labor was INTENSE. Tried sitting on the ball for a while but after getting checked and finding out I was at a 4 I decided it was epi time. That was an hour ago. Also got checked then and was at a 6. Feeling great now just waiting for things to keep progressing!

Update:
Been two hours since my last check and i have not progressed anymore and contractions have tapered off. There is talk of pitocin to get things going again. May wait another hour to see what my body does before starting that.

Update 2:
No baby yet, it's been 13hrs since water broke. Was stuck at 6 for a while then stuck at 8. Started pitocin but baby had some decel's so we backed off for an hour and then started again. Currently 9.5cm and waiting for that last little bit and for baby to drop a little more. She is still sunny side up so that'll be fun! So close and getting so antsy!

Update 3:
Macie finally made her appearance at 6:25pm weighing 6lb 8oz and 19.25in after only 20 minutes of pushing! I progressed immensely after throwing up a few times and it was go time shortly after my last update. Baby is doing great and mama is just super tired and sore. Have a gnarly tear and lots of swelling but it's the last thing on my mind right now!
