wait I'm kinda confused. hot dogs don't really look brown to me to begin with...am I weird? what makes a particular one "red"?

They are legit red instead of the normal pink/brown

My husband tried a hot dog when we were in Mexico last year on our resort. It was really pink inside. Processed much? It was one of the grossest things he's ever had. In addition to the chicken nuggets on the resort that I tried. So awful! So I'm not sure I could eat a red hot dog. It would be like trying to eat that green/purple ketchup they made when I was younger for awhile. So weird!
