Had my 16 week appointment today (at almost 17 weeks).  Doctor took about a minute to find the heartbeat.  When he finally did I got to hear it for the first time.  About 158  BPM.   (He doesn't check for the heartbeat at 12 weeks in case he can't find it just because it's too early).  

Also, I recently watched "The Business of Being Born" on Netflix and I was wondering if I had had pitocin with my epidural.  Nope!  But, I did find out some more info which makes me less optimistic about a successful VBAC but I'm still going to try!

PS.  My siggy is still the April one because as a Canadian we just don't have a Cinco De Mayo equivalent!
