First looks like his dad. Second is a pure hybrid of her dad and myself. It really varies though. The boys I babysat as a teen, one looks just like dad and the other, just like mom. Not much mixture of the two going on there.
Roo is a pretty good mix. Her eyes and smile are all DH. Her complexion and chubby cheeks are all me.
Personality wise she's more like DH was as a kid... pretty shy. She likes to observe more than she likes to talk and it takes her a while to warm up to people.
DD looks like my husband now, but has my expressions and mannerisms, and looks a lot like me when I was younger. DS has my eyes and resembles my dad and brother, but when I look at DH's toddler photos, they look SO alike. It really makes no sense. I don't think DS and DD look a lot like each other (DD has brown hair and dark eyes, more long and lean, DS has blonde hair, blue eyes, and is short and a little stockier).
Baby A looks like DS and Baby B looks like DD, so lets see if the twins even look like each other!
DD looked way more like DH when she was born but now that she's getting older I'm starting to see more of me in her; however, DH's genes are still more dominant.
People, including strangers, used to come up to me and say things like "I've never met your DH but your DD must look like him cause she looks nothing like you."
DD is a good mix. She has green eyes and light hair like DH, but tans super well like me. She also has my thin and curly hair and my exact body structure. I wish she had more of her dada's laid-back personality though!!!
My oldest 2 look a lot like me. My youngest looks identical to her daddy. Now my oldest 2 are from a different relationship in which my gene obviously dominated. They have brown hair brown eyes and olive tone skin. My youngest has beach blond hair blue eyes and very pale skin. She doesn't even look like she could be mine! I'm curious who this ones going to look like
An anthropologist friend of mine told me most babies come out looking like their father and it was a primitive means of identifying who the father will (a visual DNA test if you will.)
In our case this was true- Lincoln looked like my husband the first two years of his life before abruptly changing to look like me.
I myself looked like my father till I was 21 and now could be my mom's clone.
My DH has black hair, brown eyes, long lashes, olive skin - I'm fair with blue eyes and light brown hair. Our DD seems to be a mix of both of us, although the fact that her eyes match his seems to make most people think she resembles him more.

Genetics are weird.
That's so neat! I'd never have thought of that but it makes sense
Lucia looked like my H when she was born. As she's gotten older she's starting to look a lot more like me, though she still has his coloring. I am excited to see what Viv is going to look like! I can only picture her as a carbon copy of her big sister.
Our first son looks exactly like his father at that age and has the same personality. Personally, I'm not sure about number 2 based on our 3D, but my husband says that he thinks that he will look more like me, so we will see I guess.
C looks a lot like me physically, both facial features and the way I was built as a child. However, she has DH's expression 100%, they even sleep in the same positions! Baby on the left is C, baby on the right is me.
DS is a mini DH (as an adult, not his younger pics). DD is exactly my baby pics. I always find it odd when people tell me how much my two kids look alike...

This! It's a survival mechanism so the dads feel connected to baby and dont eat them.
My girls favor DH more, however DD#2 has a lot of my features. I'm curious to see who Isaiah will look like. From my experience, girls favor their dad and boys favor their mom. I just hope I look cute as a boy!

I've heard something similar to this, too! I heard that, subconsciously, people tend to say a baby looks like the father at first to validate his role in the "makin' a baby" process!
After hearing that, I've tried to impartially assess which parent the baby looks like, and it still seems that most look like the father! Who knows?!
A lot of people say my daughter has both my husband and myself in her. I can see it that she is a good mix of both of us. When she is playing and does something I can see either me a little more or my husband more depending on what she is doing.
My daughter looks just her Daddy but with my mouth. She does make a couple faces that look like me and her build is like mine but mostly she's a daddy-look-a-like.

My boys were almost indistinguishable as toddlers. Now that they are teenagers, I wouldnt say that they look so much a like anymore, but neither of them really favor their dad or I. My oldest probably has more features from my side of the family with his darker hair and green eyes. My youngest probably favors his dad's side and looks much more like his cousins on that side of the family - blue eyes, wide nose, lots of freckles. Both are TALL and gangly boys which they definitely get from their dad's side. The oldest at 17 is 6'2 and the youngest at 14 is 5'11". My side of the family is little people.
My daughter every once in a while I can catch a glimpse of myself in her, but she overwhelmingly looks like her dad's oldest daughter. Their baby pictures through about age 10 you would have to look twice to see who is who. The crazy thing is the older sister looks so much like her mother. The girls both have the same pale skin tone, my daughter has green eyes like me though and her sister is blue. But they have the same beautiful thick brown hair, their noses are slightly different but they have the same cheekbones and they are both shaped the same way. They are not "small" girls - the older one is 6'1" and my daughter is 5'10". Both are "healthy" weight too. I would say the two of them look more like each other than any of their parents.

@mullenem I totally feel you but I think from your siggy picture she looks at much like you as him.
DS looks a lot like DH everyone says. It totally drove me crazy in the beginning but now I guess it kinda cute that DS is his mini-me. I just hope he has DH's smile and eyes for real since that would save us major $$$ in dental work and vision care.
My son's a pretty good mix of us. I'm interested to see my daughter's face because based on the 3d ultrasound, she has some features that just don't appear from either of us! Good thing Maury's in the next state over, we may need him! Kidding, of course. I hear sound waves aren't always the best pictures.
