  • I've spent the last 20 minutes lurking in Dec 13. All of their babies are 4-5 months old. The moms sound happy and the babies are all smiles. Gives me so much to look forward to, once we're passed this fussy stage :)

My nephew is 5 months. He is going through a phase where he wants to be held. However, his parents are very happy and he is usually content. He laughs a lot and entertains himself. He's great!

    Thanks, Target. Ya jerks.

Those assholes. Nothing like making me feel like even more of a failure for not being able to produce enough for LO. Anyways, do you like the target brand? I'm thinking of switching over.

The witching hour won't end! Ugh it's been going on since 4 and now it's 8. Little dude is Grumpy!

This was us last night. She usually goes down around 7:30 and stays down til about midnight, but she even woke up screaming an hour later. So even when I thought it was over...it wasn't.

I just had to save DS1's life. DH caught him taking sandpaper to his beloved sportscar. Yeah....not good. Luckily I was able to intervene and separate them before DH lost it and did something he regrets. Turns out DS was trying to wipe something off the car. Not the right choice of material little man. Thankfully DH has calmed down and his car will be ok. Just a few minor scratches.

  • Ladies who have had a c-section:

When were you cleared to start working out again? I'm six weeks today and my incision looks great. I haven't had any complications from it. I had an appointment today with an on that I normally don't see. (My normal one is out on medical leave until mid may) he told me that I can't start working out until 3 months. And still has me on lifting restrictions. I'm just curious what you other ladies have heard. I'll follow his orders, I was just disappointed that I have to continue waiting to work out.

I was told light cardio at 2 weeks, cleared for everything at 6 weeks.

Ugh we go through this every night. He usually falls asleep at 8 and stays asleep until about 2. Now if only I could go to bed that early!
  • @AriaAmante143‌ same here but it's Mary Kay and my sister started with BeachBody so I never hear the end

My OB cleared me for everything at my appointment, but also said to start slow and pace myself. I would assume if you feel okay and you had no complications your doc would feel the same. Maybe call your actual OB and double check?

That's just annoying.... Shouldn't they want you to buy their product! It's not like it's tobacco or something where they need a surgeon general warning.
All of the Enfamil containers and even their promo materials say breast is best. Makes me feel awesome, really.

Yep, assholes. Like we haven't heard that anywhere before. And since the most I've ever pumped is 10 oz per day...yeah, like I need another reminder.

I do like the target brand. I use the "similar to enfamil" one and have switched between name brand and target brand. No issues. Half as expensive.

  • I hate hate hate when my friends use Facebook to advertise. Sooooo annoying!
  • I don't want to be that annoying FB friend. Hence me having a separate business page for my bakery. I'm pretty sure I'm going to open a second business selling boutique items (kids clothing and accessories) and I'll have a separate page for that as well. I don't want to be "that" annoying friend who blows up people's feeds with unwanted sales pitches!

  • 90 minutes after his "bedtime" feed and he's still wide awake. Sooo tired :(
  • Why am I a bad guy if I want some down time sans baby, yet h fully expects all the down time in the world? FFS he's having me take Jackson to the babysitter tomorrow even though he'll be home. He "might" go get him early while I'm still at work. I know he doesn't feel great and wants to get some things done, but come on!
  • @daisycat11 I'm sorry to hear that. Piper hit it last week and it was miserable but now she's almost back to her happy self so it does end!

I'm at the ER again with mastitis. I had to bring P because DH has work at 3:30 AM. I just started work this week and know the fact that they won't give me a pump break during instruction time is why I have it since I go 5.5 hours in between pumps and I'm most engorged in the morning. I am leaving at the end of the year anyway and I am really tempted to just leave now.

@CruiseGirl28‌ tornados hit in the next town over and downtown fayetteville was flooded in about 2 ft of water in some parts.

I have serious anxiety and I am starting to get depressed. Once I get home I don't even get to cuddle my baby because I have a million things to prep for the next day and then it's bedtime. I don't get paid a whole lot and MH said if it's bothering me that much to just leave. I'm just worried about all of my supplies $1000s of dollars since NC didn't give me anything for the classroom. I also feel bad for my students but leaving my tiny baby is so hard.

I'm also at the point where I want to give up BF because I've seen LCs galore and still end up with cracked nipples and mastitis (x3). This makes me feel like a failure. Especially after that add on the target formula but I know I need to make the right choice for baby and me.

Sorry for the novel. I'm just so conflicted and feeling pretty down on myself.

  • Because you all need to hear this

So my husband has been taking courses to become Certified to SCUBA dive we had to go to Houston this yesterday and today for him to do his dives. Well we went to this store that sells dive equipment and while there mia became restless and ready for a nap.

So while i am walking around bouncing her this guy comes in. He's probably in his late fifties/early sixties. He procedes to ask me the typical questions, how old is she, whats her name, etc. all met and answered with a smile.

Then he asks "are you nursing" i kid you not.

Because he says, that his wife was able to nurse all three of his kids and it was amazing he said.

He also says that he thinks that women are at their most attractive when they are with child, and that is why they had three children within 36 months!

Needless to say i ran to my car to change Mia as fast as possible.

    Yeah--major creeper!

  • @Jennibeanjld‌ @CHPhotoMama‌ and @DaisyCat11‌ thanks for the kind words and hugs. MH was telling me to suck it up and it's a short time so it's nice to have my bump ladies to talk to. He started to come around when he saw my attitude and behavior getting worse all week.

@amdecker1016‌ that is totally creep status. I'm weirded out by some woman staring at me pumping with a cover at the hospital. Seriously? Can I help you with something?

And @karacakes98‌ I'm a hobby cake decorator (I've taken classes for years) and seeing your cakes would NOT annoy me. That's an actual service people want!
Agreed.  I'd love to see cakes posted on my facebook too.  Because, yum!  It's more annoying with all the weight loss stuff because it's also set up to make you feel bad about not doing it.

I have a friend doing Visalus who is constantly trying to get people to "start the journey."  No thanks.  I've always found a journey more fun if I get to eat what I want...like cookies and lots of rum.

No kidding.  My husband is pretty good usually, but the other day I asked him to watch LO while I went for a swim for thirty minutes.  He said no problem.  And then once I came back disappeared for the rest of the night since he had "done his time."

I spotted a little yesterday and this morning and now it's full on end of my period bleeding. I'm on the mini pill and my period just ended last Saturday. I want a break from bleeding!! :-(

Yes! Tried to DTD two daya ago and then yesterday started my period up again. Today it was brown so fingers crossed it is over again!

  • 3:30am and baby is falling asleep nursing. Cue DH's alarm clock, shower and lights. Now I have a baby who was asleep, playing dang it :(
  • @amdecker1016‌ that's creepy. We went to a hockey store to get DH new goalie gear. The guy who helped us was very nice, but then he started asking weird questions: Was she planned? How was your labor? Did you get the epidural (except he called it the epidermal lol)

My waitress the other day asked me if I'm nursing. I'm pumping, so I just said, "Sort of." Then she kept asking me if I wanted another beer even after I said no.

  • Emma gets her shots today :( I came to work for a half day to keep my mind off of it.  At least I get my mirena in today as well so DH and I can try to get back to a sense of normalcy.  ;)

  • Sooo Emma sleeps well at night. We're getting a 6-7 hr stretch, she'll eat and go back to sleep for 2-3 hrs. My problem is that I can't go back to sleep. We don't talk, lights dim, all that stuff. Is anyone else having trouble falling back asleep? I have a sleep mask to block out light, white noise..am I just out of luck? If I could only sleep the whole time she sleeps I'd feel rested.

Yep. If I wake up enough to take care if everything, I can't just go back to sleep. I'm trying to avoid my cell phone. I have no helpful tips. It sucks. It's worse at the 3-4am round than the others. :/
