Anyone measuring bigger than how many weeks they are? With my first I always measured a week or so ahead from about 30 weeks, at 39 weeks I was measuring 43
I had c section at 40 weeks he was 10.6 healthy as can be. Now with baby number 2 another boy I am measuring 32 weeks at 28 weeks:/ I'm hoping to get an ultra sound at 32 weeks. I gained over 40 pounds in just fluid with my first, so I just want to know what's going on. I will mention I've only gained 18 lbs as of 28 weeks. What worries me the most is that I went from measuring 2 weeks ahead at 21 weeks to now 4 weeks ahead 5 weeks later.
Anyone else.
Re: measuring big. long post sorry.
I'm not currently measuring bigger than my gestational weeks, but at 18w4d I was measuring 15cm, then at my next appointment at 22w4d I was measuring 23cm, and at my last appointment at 26w4d I was measuring 26cm. My doc attributed the 8cm jump in just 4 weeks to a baby growth spurt and was not worried about it (nor was he worried about the only 3cm growth in 4 weeks that followed).
My doc also mentioned that the fundal height measurements are just a rough guideline and are generally not cause for concern because they can easily be off by a few cm depending on the position of the baby that day/what the baby is doing (ie. my little guy likes to stretch and push my belly way out periodically throughout the day). So it is quite possible for my fundal height measurement to change throughout the day as much as 3cm when I've measured it when he is quiet and when he is pushing my belly out.
FWIW I consistently measured a week or slightly more behind during my pregnancy with my DD (she was born at exactly 41w weighing 7lb4oz).
It's so odd to me that my ute is so high already because I have a very short torso, even for being as short as I am (5'2")... Unless that's why? She was sitting very low the first half of my pregnancy but then it all changed.
I'm also not always showing much because baby girl is always straight up and down, never curled up.
