I slept in a half hour today so no shower before wprk for me! Good thing I washed my hair yesterday and I'm surrounded by smelly dogs and loads of fragrance spray at work!!
I'm awake but laying flat in bed due to a spontaneous CSF leak headache...

First page! Feel better soon, @etoille family! Currently letting MMCH babysit my kid so I can guzzle a cup of coffee. I hope those teeth pop through soon because poor DD is miserable - and momma needs sleep.
I woke up with a terrible sore throat. I can hardly swallow and just feel yucky. I only work until 1 so will hopefully get in a nap when I get home.
Eli is STILL sleeping! I posted last night about waking vs letting him sleep and just left him alone expecting to get woke up at a weird time but nope. He's snoring away so must have just been super tired I guess.
My sis and bil have been looking at houses in our town for about six months and desperately want to move. They found out last night that their offer on a twin home almost next door was accepted! I'm so so excited that they will be living so close! !!!!! They should move at the end of July.

@etoille@kaylakim dh and I are on round 2 of strep. I never had much of a fever, just the lost voice and discomfort. Dr yesterday said she's had days lately where every single person had strep. Might want to check it out.
I think I'll go in this morning. I can hardly talk or swallow but feel ok otherwise. Just tired and lethargic feeling. Sorry you've had such awful throat trouble. This is no fun.
Woke up to DH upchucking this morning. He refuses to go to the doctor and he definitely needs to.
On the bright side we have our health benefits meeting today. I am so excited that we are going back to our old insurance because I can go back to my OBGYN and get weight watchers.
I had been going through a sad spot for a couple of days about the amount of time I work and Allison being in daycare but today when I dropped her off she was all smiles and immediately crawled off to her friends.
@emmanemm That SS picture cracks me up! Thanks for the morning smile!!
DS was insistent that today was Friday. It is a rainy, cold day and I really wanted it to be Friday too! I made up for his Wednesday blues by sharing an old fashioned doughnut with him. Win-win.
DH has sent LO to daycare 3 out of 5 days in the same shirt. Girl has more clothes than I do. How does that happen?? Does he really just think the shirt is so great or does he have no recollection of what he dressed her in the day before?
The thing I hate the most about having long irregular cycles is not the wondering whether I'm pregnant. Chances of that are slim, and I can test.
It's all the wasted post-ovulation safe-for-unsafe-sex days because I can never be sure if I've already ovulated. They need to make a pee stick that says yep, you've already ovulated this cycle. Not an OPK, just one you can dip at any time after ovulation to confirm.
It is very, very likely I already have. I could be having good sex right now, dammit! But what if today is the day....

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
My LO woke up at 3 and started screaming for no apparent reason. I finally tickled him and he stopped crying, drank a bottle and went back to bed. He woke up SEVERAL times last night. I think the 9 month sleep regression is upon us X_X
LO has been waking up earlier and earlier despite bedtime and naps staying mostly unchanged. As soon as he opens his eyes he starts doing gymnastics in bed and he's wide awake immediately :-< ~:>
That was supposed to be the coffee mug, not a chicken. Clearly I am tired.

We had a much better night. DD just woke up and I went to bed earlier last night. Had crazy dreams though. DH is coming home a day earlier...yay! We might make it to baby gym today.
Sorry for all the sicklies...get better soon. Mimi I wish they had those too. I am on day #22 with no positives. I am going to give up now and declare this cycle a bust.
@Chunkymonkeylvr we're kind of in the same boat then because my "normal" is more like 34-35 days. It's just that it's not uncommon for me to go 40 or occasionally 60 days. Before BCP I would only get AF every 6 months or so.
@joanna2004 are you TTC?! Sorry about the wonky cycle, but GL! And FX for you too, Chunky!

Sand and water tables are definitely the best. We picked one up at the side of the road one day... So we didn't put any sand in because it doesn't have a lid (and cats.... You know).
Marnie spent every day playing in that water table, all summer long (while nekkid). They are truly an amazing thing. Give a kid some water, and they'll entertain themselves all day long.
So I've been trying not to feel sorry for myself or mope around on here too much, but all the posts about water toys and bath toys and splash parties and swim lessons kind of make me want to cry. I don't want there to be things Luke can't do! (
Please don't feel bad about posting about this stuff - this isn't another thing to add to the overly-sensitive taboo topics list. I'm a big girl Just, when this line is gone I'm buying all the water things.

We have exposed brick walls in our house. Everytime we pass the wall DD insists on touching the wall, touching the curtains, then looking outside. She has the shortest attention span.
Also I think DD will end up being 4'8" when she gets older. She is going to be tiny and cute.
Silas is napping on his tummy next to me. With a nip in his mouth. He's really testing the elasticity of my boobs with this.

I just woke up in a drool puddle at 10:30 on the dot (my next pumping time). Nap success! <:-P
@kaylakim, during my nap I dreamed that you changed your avatar. It was an adorable pic of your girls in striped navy and white tights sort of like these:
You should probably go buy some, because it was ADORABLE! I'm sure your DS was in there somewhere, too. But I don't have a wardrobe suggestion for him because I don't remember it.
When I logged on to TB a minute ago I was surprised to see your normal avatar. Guess it was a pretty vivid dream!
ETA: for some reason putting the picture in is covering up paragraphs, so it's below.</p>
That is so AWESOME! What's kinda crazy is I was planning to do navy and white for our family pics last fall but changed my mind. Thinking I'll definitely do it this year! It's meant to be!
Just got this email from a student at the school I teach at. He sent it to the whole staff. I LOLed because of you guys:
I am currently undertaking a small scale research
project for my Advanced Scientific Research Course. As a part of my research I
am hoping to measure the levels of cortisol (a stress hormone) by a saliva test
in teachers. I am hoping to recruit 30 teacher volunteers, 15 male and 15
female that would allow me to collect salivary samples.

@NKaeding Hope you can shake it off by mid-morning. When I wake up in an especially crappy mood I put on fun music.
