Some people are so rude

I am a teacher. I was walking to the bathroom last week and another older teacher ran in front of me and said that she wanted to go first because she would be quick and I would be slow. That kind of upset me because I am the pregnant one and I would be just as quick. I was first in line! Honestly, I have to pee a lot (not that I am able to leave and use the bathroom often) but not much comes out anyways and I am quick!

Now I am 39.4 days.. middle school assistant was standing in my doorway during the student's snack time because she was offering me a break to use the bathroom. Again, that same older teacher ran over to her and insisted that she use the bathroom before me because she would be quick. Again, I was first in line! I don't know why she thinks I would take that long and honestly I am really annoyed by her now. I'm due on Saturday.. and I pee fast! What is her problem! Rude.. rude rude! I can't believe someone would act like that.. let alone a nun (I work at a Catholic school)!

And.. the aide got tied up and I never got my bathroom break! Thanks a lot..

Ew...that is ridiculously rude to do to anyone, and even more so a pregnant lady.

Well in her defense, as a nun she's probably not wearing underwear so she probably is quicker.... (okay bad joke- I grew up Catholic)

Next time just say, excuse I was in line first and I promise I will be just as fast and proceed forward.

That's wild because I'm a teacher also and when I walk in the room, anyone in line is always like, "oh you should go before me because you're pregnant." While I just wait my turn anyway, I like the acknowledgment of a baby on my bladder. ;-)

I would've said it in a jokingly way, "Oh you're just gonna cut off the pregnant lady from the bathroom? Seriously?"

Yeah, I usually have people offer to let me go first. Yeesh. Who cares if you take longer anyway? That's no reason to cut in front of you.

I'm pretty sure I would have punched her. I am a teacher too and I know how important the bathroom breaks are!!

I've had the opposite; most people let me go in front of them if there is a line.

That is indeed so rude. I would have said I'm first in line and I think I'm more urgent, you can wait.

and I would have barged in and not allowed her to cut in line in front of me.

I can't believe how rude some people can be, I hate people who cut in front of lines for anything they bug me like nothing else, if you are in such a hurry you should have gone to do what ever we are standing in line for earlier. I'm in a hurry too!

I had expected people to tell me to use the bathroom before them in public bathrooms but no one does, I see them eyeing the bump but they just walk in anyway and you know what I don't blame them they were first in line, that's why I would never let anyone walk in before me if I was there first...maybe only if they had a huge belly I would sympathies and say please go ahead or if it was a kid squirming cause they have to go..would hate to be the mom of that kid and have to wait in line with a ticking bladder lol.

As an English person, we love lines and being passive aggressive.

If there is a line, I'm not offended by waiting in it and am appreciative of people offering to let me go first (acceptance is based on urgency). I am, however, extremely offended by people who cut ahead without being offered.

I'd politely point out that there was a line. And leave a sympathetic note for her with the details of a bladder control specialist. Then feign surprise if she took offense.

Very rude! There is a line, stand in it. I would have to say something to her. I hope she has not continued to do this.

Was at the mall recently with my 4 year old squirming because of course he waits to tell me he has to go until HE HAS TO GO. We are waiting in line and a pregnant woman walks past the line to wait in front of stalls. I couldn't keep my mouth shut in telling her to get in line, I'm 8 months pregnant with a 4 year old who waited in line. She wasn't happy but neither was I. Why do people see a line and think they are above waiting in it?

I'm a teacher also and the same thing happened to me last week!! The teacher thought she was being cute and I just stood there with my mouth open. There were other people there too and they couldn't believe what just happened! Everyone else has been very gracious and thoughtful, but not this one! When she came out I said "I can't believe you just cut off a pregnant woman." And her reply was similar to what the nun said to you. I wanted to say, "So would you cut off an old person because you think they'll be slow too?" But I just couldn't. You can't fix STUPID! Now I've learned though...I will no longer be doing her any more favors.

totally rude of her! Seriously, when I need to pee, I NEED to pee and sometimes I barely get my underwear off in time so I would be just as pissed as you are. If she tries again you need to call her out on her poor behavior and then make sure that you get to the stall first. Can she go to a different bathroom?

I used the girls' bathroom on my floor. Even the kids (4-8th grade) were gracious enough to ask if I had to go first.

Rude! I'm not saying people need to let you "cut in" but at least go when it's your turn. It's the small things that can make or break a day, I get it. I mean I was pleasantly surprised when another teacher and I were both walking to the bathroom and she was like oh I'll run an errand you go ahead. I was not expecting it and it was small but sweet gesture. Next time I'd speak up and say, actually I have the rare break opportunity so you can wait your turn.

Omg next time you should say no I was first. Last time you got ahead I never for my break because you went ahead of me and the assistant had to go.

Man. Anywhere I go everyone has me go in front of them. I always tell them I can wait but some insist.

She is being disrespectful to you. I think you should say something.
