They HATE tummy time.

Our twins are 8w corrected (almost 4 months actual) and every time we lay them on the floor they either scream bloody murder or they sleep. I've layed with them and talked to them and nothing helps. They like their bumbo and are pretty good at holding their head but they have no arm strength yet. They can't lift their chests. I'm not sure what to do.

Have you tried placing a mirror in front of them? My 3 month old tolerates tummy time much better since I figured this out. I actually use my iPad camera.

I agree with keeping at it. DS hated tummy time but you have to do if for them to get strong. So I'd just do often but for short periods of time. Try that--do it several time a day but for shorter periods of time.

We do some tummy time chest to chest, and now my LO is slowly transitioning to tummy time on the floor.

I also do tummy time chest to chest with my daughter.  She's in physical therapy for a stiff neck (she tends to look to the right side most of the time), and her physical therapist has me do tummy time with her on my chest while I'm laying down flat.  The goal is just to do it for two minutes at a time.  If she fusses before that I let her up, and just try to do it more often.  Looking up at me and me talking to her and encouraging her helps, she gives up much faster on the floor!

@mcsweets: what a sweet picture of your twins :)

As PPs have mentioned, keep it up... it's hard, I hate seeing my LO upset.  I would do tummy time with DS on my chest-- tummy time on the floor resulted in him sobbing and screaming (thank goodness DH was so persistent!)  DH worked really hard on distracting DS during tummy time and now he's at the point where he'll actually smile and coo during!  GL!!
