Birth Control - Ortho Makin' Me Crazy!

Hi, ladies. Haven't been on here in a while. Grad school is taking over my life!!

I'm on my third pack of Ortho Tri Cyclen and every month I start losing my mind right when I begin the third row. Used to take Loestrin Lo, but most Lo version of combo pills are no longer covered by my crappy school system insurance.

Any pill advice?

Are you referring to PMDD?

It's like really bad PMS. Mostly I feel mildly depressed, like I could start crying at anytime for any reason. There's also mild back pain.

You're right. I'm definitely going to have to spend more money on pills. Just found out that our mortgage payments will decrease from our recent refinance, so there's my pill money!

Opened the formulary list a few minutes ago. I have to see what's on the third tier (the most expensive ones) and match it to a lower tier generic. Then I have to call and get the actual price from the prescription company. Insurance is getting more tedious to use, and it drives me nuts.

I used to get very emotional too. My doc at the time switched me to Ocella (generic of the yazmin) &it worked well for me while I was on it. I know that is one that some people had issues with though & there was some sort of lawsuit so it isn't for everyone. My issues made me very emotional & I was paranoid that dh was cheating tbo he wasn't. It really helped me.

SAME THING! I'm this close to digging around in his cell phone, but I know that I'm not myself and that's not the thing to do. I JUST found the generic that I need, and I'm gonna call the doctor tomorrow morning. I know she's already gone today.

I totally understand. BC makes me a total psycho! I used to stir up the drama every 4 weeks! We have to use charting now. I'm glad you are able to go back to your old Rx, and I also second the suggestion of planned parenthood. They have good discounts depending on your income. The cost may also vary at different pharmacies.
