MommyP710 Birth Story Picture and update in original post!

So this was a bit unexpected! Had our shower on Saturday and our baby on Sunday! I woke up at 5:30 a.m. with stomach pains and was able to have a bowel movement, so I figured that was the reason for the pain. I noticed when I first sat down on the a rush of fluid, but that had happened before and I went to OB triage and it was nothing so I didn't think twice. Continued to have stomach pains but was able to go to the bathroom. I started to think there was a possibility I was having contractions and decided to call the Dr. when I noticed blood. They told me to come in, thinking it might be GI related, that we'd get some meds and be discharged. I brought nothing. When I got to triage and used the bathroom I ended up throwing up which caused fluid to come out. They tested it and it was amniotic. I was officially in labor. They took me right to a labor and delivery room after measuring me at 3 cm and 90% effaced. This was around 10 a.m. By 2:50 it was time to push and baby was born at 3:38 p.m. I delivered naturally with no meds, according to plan! The cord was wrapped around his neck and body, but overall he is doing well. He weighed 4 pounds and 12 ounces, and is 18.75 inches long. He is so stinking cute. They said he will likely need a 2-3 week stay and then can come home! I would like to apologize to my LB, @ElTrain5‌ for taking away your reporting duties! It happened so fast and unexpectedly and my phone died :(

*Update 4/29 at 11:47 p.m.* Here is my little man less than 24 hours after birth.  At this point he doesn't have a feeding tube anymore (which was being used to let air out of his belly) or the IV.  He had an awesome day today! Latching and drinking a lot from bottles!  image
