i am having trouble tagging on this tablet, but hey lemon and efeeman, my contract takes me to Ironton and Wheelersburg on the regular. I love the floodwalls in Portsmouth with the murals.
@notreal2 You are in my area all the time then! It is definitely a very small world!
Hey everyone! Yikes I don't know whether to feel super embarrassed or excited most if you remembered my dingy Altrasound post! Lmao glad you all came out to play... Stick around! And don't forget to post in HDBD!
I'll hop out of lurkerville for a bit..... my screen name is frohotch, which is short for frozen hot chocolate - I may have been a bit obsessed when I was younger. I have two children, Henry who is 2 and Julia who was born 1/30 but due on 2/3. We live in Philadelphia, which we love, but are considering a move to the burbs for a yard. I have been crazy enough to have two kids in residency, which has only been possible because my husband pulls a lot of extra weight. I too love the il threads - I have a few things I could add to those
Another major lurker here!
Name (sn is fine): Cynthia
Where are you from: Tennessee
How many children: baby boy born 2/24
Two random facts about you:
1) Walking is my exercise of choice, but I won't run unless I'm being chased.
2) I love going to concerts & music festivals & actually I found out I was pregnant at Bonnaroo
What was your favorite F14 moment?
All the advice from the STMs! You all have been lifesavers for this FTM!
@blscholl1645 Munchkin cats are the best cats I have ever owned! Their personalities are very dog like. I'm not sure I will ever be able to own a normal cat again haha.
@DreamingBabies I totally know where that is, although I have never been there! I have lived here my whole life and so has DH. We live in milford now, but both grew up in other parts of hunterdon.
@keags5496 we all have our moments right? lol I have since stop being a promiscuous app user, deleted my other 2 and committed myself to The Bump, no more confusion.
Hi ladies! I posted an intro back in October and went into lurking.
Name (sn is fine): Katrina Where are you from: Los Angeles How many children: 3 ( 7 DD1, 20 month old DS, and 10 week old DD2) Two random facts about you: I met DH on EHarmony and we were almost selected to participate in one of their commercials. I was pregnant with DS and they didn't want a preggo ( I was bummed for weeks). What was your favorite F14 moment? I like the UO threads, I agree with most of them.
Edit (I only did 1 fact) - I still have my security blanket. My DH hates it but tolerates it.
I post some but I don't think I have introduced myself.
Patty from Rochester NY no where near New York City.
FTM Cassandra Jane born 2-17-14
I'm a twin and I got married in Las Vegas.
Favorite moments is seeing everyone have their babies.
I started lurking on the board after my daughter was born. My nurse actually told me what a great community it was for her and you all definitely keep me entertained while I'm nursing especially those MOTN feedings.
Name (sn is fine): Stephanie

How many children: 1 - Riley Marie was born on 2/13/14, 13 days early.

3 of the 5 people in my immediate family and 11 of the 24 people in my extended family are left-handed. I'm hoping LO is too!
What was your favorite F14 moment?
I love UO because there are so many I agree with and all the baby updates as the LO's were born once I learned about the board. I wish I would have found this board sooner but I definitely did go back and read far into the board's older posts.
Semi-lurker joining in! I don't honestly remember if I ever did an intro. Name (sn is fine): Emily Where are you from: North Carolina (for now, H is in the AirForce) How many children: 1 stepson (7 yo, we share custody with his mom), and daughter (9 weeks!) Two random facts about you: I LOVE my dog (a Shihtzu, but I think he was a person in a former life), I'm a spelling/grammar freak - not so much on the internet but in professional/daily life I see/hear things and think, "This person gets paid more than me?!" What was your favorite F14 moment? Lots of good information on here, so obviously that is awesome! Also, I hate to sound bad but there IS such thing as a stupid question. So I don't *hate* when people ask ridiculous questions and get "told" ("I cut off my arm and am 37 weeks pregnant, should I go to the hospital?")
Lurker here, I posted in the beginning but then got distracted and lazy. I kind of feel like an ass posting now after 9 months. But I've loved reading the board, extremely helpful.
I live in a Philadelphia suburb, I have one little baby boy born February 19.
2 random facts are nothing makes me happier than when Steel Magnolias is on tv, and I have a serious sleep walking problem.
Favorite board moments were the SFP thread and when "because small" posted her selfie in her ridiculously messy room. Am I remembering right that it was complete with bunk beds?

@llihau88 I know! I saw your dc post (I'm pretty sure it was you...not sure if there are many other Vegas bumpies in this group, and almost replied to just say, I live there too! Feel free to PM if you ever want to do a play date. Either all my friends and co-workers are out of the norm, or Vegas isn't the most popular place to have kids
@golfergirl08 - While I was studying abroad in South Korea in '06 (super random, decided to take Korean in college, though I had no exposure to Korea before going to college), and had the opportunity to go on a 4 day, 3 night trip to a mountain "resort" about 2.5 hours into North Korea from the South Korean border. We took a bus across the DMZ (eeriest stretch of road), and went through North Korean security (we could not bring anything that was internet accessible, nor any religious materials, nor any camera with over a specified amount of zoom). They actually took our passports for the entire duration of the stay. On the drive to the mountain, our guide told us about North Korea, such things as there are no gay North Koreans, everyone is well fed, and they are much better off than the rest of the world. In contrast, the trees we passed by had no bark (I had learned that the poor people would eat bark off trees to keep from starving). Our guide also told us to not give any prohibited materials that we may have made it through security with to any of the North Korean workers we encountered in our hotel, or they would have to be sent to rehabilitation camps immediately. Workers would all go eventually to the rehabilitation camps in order to purge all the lies would we inevitably tell them. Such as, no, its not normal for the electricity at the hotel to go out multiple times every hour.
The most memorable part of the trip happened on our last day there. Up until then it had all been hiking in the mountain. It was Kim Il Song's birthday celebration, and one of the other hotels was having a show. After the show, we tried to go to the top floor of the hotel since its as the highest and had the best view of the mountain. When we got to the top, there were armed guards that told us immediately to go back down. Someone in the room must have caught sight of us, and told us we could come I'm for karaoke and cake. Turns out it was an annual meeting of communist officials (not Kim Jong Il though), and they wanted to talk to our group I guess (we were a mix of white foreigners, Korean Americans, and some South Korean students). We ate, sang, and conversed with the officials for a couple of hours. All in all, probably ruined any political aspirations I had, but is the most crazy thing I've ever done!
@utpony@BabyFH I'm a Sabrina, too! I don't know any IRL Sabrinas, and there are three on this board now!

I've only met a few others in my life, so this is nice haha! It really must be uncommon, because people always comment on it when they hear it. Glad to have met a few more! :-h
