Good morning! DH and I went to an outdoor country concert yesterday and it was a blast. Now going to cook breakfast for us and just relax. @FhSTAR81 I'm so sorry for what you're going through! I hope that a relief of symptoms comes soon!
I am realizing I'm totally one of those FTMs that thinks her kid's a genius when said kid does normal things. She said "pup...eee" after I said puppy and I was all "OMGBBQ call MENSA!!!" Not really of course... But maybe... J/k
DS just closed himself in the room with my sleeping DH. This is DHs only day off & a better wife would go rescue him from DS & let him sleep a little longer. But I really need to shower soooooo, sorry about ya DH!
@RondackHiker That sounds like a ridiculous & ignorant church to me. I am so sorry you are having to sit through that.
Everything you have posted about it is so weird and not the norm at all.
@FhSTAR81 I am so sad that you are going through this. I was very ill throughout my pregnancy but never needed a pump. I can only imagine how tough every day is. I have fibromyalgia and CFS so if you ever want to vent-PM me.
We are having a lazy today. This week has been awful and I am barely functioning. E has been a terror since turning 2.5.
I'm going to have to call my grandparents and cancel a visit because we all feel a little off and a virus has been going around at daycare. They are going to be pissed.
just got handed a perfectly made cup of coffee.. baby girl is waking up slowly which is kinda cute but could verge on whiney if I don't handle it right.
We planned to do something "family" today but I feel like that could all go in the toilet and we spend the day trying to constantly distract her from the fact that we are doing chores and getting ready for the week... this would include many "i'm gonna get you" and "oh nooo wheres the baby?!" whicle folding laundry/making shopping lists etc
Feeling extra grouchy/resentful today. I told DH if he got up with the baby last night he could go snowmobiling today. DS is 12 weeks old and this is only the second time he has gotten up to help, and I use that lightly. He got up the second time baby woke up, unswadled him and tried to give him a formula bottle when there was a boob juice bottle in the fridge. DS freaked out so I had to get up anyway. At least he tried I guess. I just want to know when it's MY turn for a break.
@mshoepp sorry about the bad night... you bring back memories of feeling like WTH why am I in charge al the time!!! it gets better (well I hope it does I guess it depends on how selfish the dad is) .... my only advice.... be patient, don't expect him to do everything your way and don't expect him to read your mind.... I found early on that its best to reques tthings when you are leaving the room... as in... "i'm going to the bathroom can you change her diaper" kinda gives them no option.. then take your phone in the bathroom and bump
Thanks @credcat7 I just need to sit down and have a heart-to-heart about my feelings instead of bottling it up. Probably better that he is gone today so I have time to cool off.
@FhSTAR81, I'm sorry you're dealing with that! I hope they can find something to help you.
I'm attempting to put DD down for a nap over an hour early...the birthday party is RIGHT in the middle of normal naptime, and I don't understand why, because it is for a little girl in her class on the same nap schedule. I hope she at least gets 30 minutes of sleep so she is happy at the party.
BTW, she's really having a hard time with the idea that the birthday girl gets a gift, and she doesn't. This is her first big birthday party, and I'm worried she's going to lose it when it is present time. She's not spoiled, she just doesn't get it. Any tips to help her understand?
I just penciled my eyebrows to go to Target. Totally unnecessary, but I feel like I look more like I have my shit together when they are penciled. This may be in my head though.
@RondackHiker, I can't remember, are you in ATL? Our church has a nursing room where you can still hear and see the sermons, and the pastor is awesome.
@Whenigrowup I can't see tickets to know hold old your dd is, but it helped us to talk a lot about it beforehand so she kind of has a heads up. Might also help if she sees all the other kids there and they're not getting gifts either. Hope it goes ok for you!
The sleep deprivation is kicking my ass, and this half-caf shit I drink when I'm pregnant is useless. The kids are still in their PJ's, I'm still in my PJ's, the downstairs is totally trashed, and I don't care.
The only thing I've accomplished is editing a couple of my Pinterest boards.
I'm getting the feeling the kids will end up just putting on clean jammies after their bath tonight and that'll be that.
Oh.... and there's way too much tv in this house right now. That shit's gonna back fire if I don't cut it off and get them outside at some point. But it's supposed to rain all week and all of our aquarium/museum/zoo memberships are expired.

But she should be able to nurse her baby in the pew, no? I'm not following...

________
Yes, definitely, she should be able to feed her baby wherever she wants. I liked using the room because I didn't have to be nervous that DS might cry or pop off and expose my boob, but if anyone wants to nurse in the pew, I would absolutely support that choice.
I'm here. Slept in DH said DD wanted to wake me up but when they got back there she was like oh no! Well good DD I appreciate my sleep. Just got done eating some french toast. It is dark and rainy today so I don't see much happening today.
I don't understand how a church is holding something hostage. Seems very unchurchly
This. I am trying to imagine how this conversation actually went down. "No. You can't get your keys back til Sunday. And you have to sit through the service." WTH?
She didn't leave her keys last week. She out them in there this week so se wouldn't forget the bag. I think.

I'm bored. We are at my parent's so DH can work on his pickup in my step dad's shop and we can leave DD here overnight so I can do some labs in the morning. I should have stayed home...there is so much to do there.
My H is talking about cutting my daughter's hair. The thought gives me some mild anxiety. Then he says he's thinking that he will cut her hair and I'm thinking about justifiable homicide.
I'm waiting for DS to wake up from his nap so we can go for a walk. I want to go back to the festival we went to yesterday because they were giving out free samples of pretzels, and I want some more! Lol, but true. Also today is beautiful, exercise is a good thing (although maybe a toss-up if it's canceled out by pretzel calories), and DS likes being in the stroller.
Ditto everyone else.... Geese are total dicks. One chased my son through a park last year trying to bite him! Fuck all the geese.
Thanks @bearsbearsbears ! I don't get jittery, but I'm usually a strong pot a day kinda girl... so the 200mg limit just doesn't even touch it at all. Tea kinda helps, but it's just not the same.
@FhSTAR81 My best friend had HG with all three of hers, and it just shredded her. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this!
My sister's friends are doing a bracket thing for naming their baby. It's sounds, uh, pretentious?, but it's actually really hilarious. Thanks Facebook for being creepy and letting me stalk this
I'm guessing (hoping) many of these are not actual names they're considering? Yolo or Phart, lol.

I could kick dh for forgetting the diaper bag last week so I had to do this.
