Today has been a very bittersweet day.
I have had the joy of sharing my first pregnancy with my SIL. She was pregnant with twins and was due 3 weeks before us. This pregnancy was unexpected for them. Twins do not run in the family. They miscarried last summer and following a D&C, they conceived the twins. It's been a long and difficult pregnancy for her. They also have a very busy three year old son. They just had a c section scheduled for May 6th.
Lucas Adam and Henry Louis came earlier than expected. Sadly, due to a defect in his umbilical cord, Henry did not survive.
I live in Asia and they are all in Canada. My DH is away on business until Monday. Please just send us some love, you don't need to respond to this post. But I just need to give them a hug. I am so thankful for the June board. You ladies have always been so funny, wise and supportive.
**update: I called my mom and was able to hear Lucas. He has been cooing non-stop since birth. She thinks he's soothing himself. So beautiful. I have also been proudly named as his godmother. ***

Jan 29/14. DH felt kicks for first time @ 19w3d
Feb 2/14. Saw baby via ultrasound (quick scan in ER) @ 19w6d
Feb 6/14. Heard HB (126-134bpm) via Doppler @ 20w3d normal beat
Feb 15/14. AS - baby looked great (measured 1w small) and would NOT let us see sex! @ 21w5d
Feb 20/14 3D US - its a GIRL!!!!! @ 22w3d
Feb 27/14. Repeat AS for more pics, HB 124bpm @ 23w3d
Mar 6/14. Heard HB (130bpm) via Doppler @ 24w3d

Second, it always hurts to lose a child but I pray that Lucas will grow and live for the both of them- and you know Henry's going to be watching Lucas's every move in Heaven
