Quick stats: Kaelyn Everly made her way into the world today. 8lb 6 oz 20in long.
Long story:
Went to dinner with some friends. The whole time I was feeling really uncomfortable. Silly me thought it was because the restaurant has terrible booths. DH took me home before heading back out with the guys.
While laying on the couch recuperating, I noticed my BH were pretty close together and started timing them. They were about 10 min apart at about 7:30pm. Shortly thereafter I used the bathroom and noticed a fair amount of blood.
I called DH and he came back home. By 2 am they were about 6 min apart, and getting a bit painful so we headed in. I was 100% and dilated to 3. At 4am I was at a 5 and asked for an epidural. I had thought it would take a while to get it, but only took 15 min. At first it felt great, but later I felt like I was being crushed and had a mini panic attack, so they backed it down to half the dosage.
At 730 am I was at 9 and they broke my water. Soon after I was fully dilated and they had me start pushing. After no progress was made, the dr realized she was sunny side up. After many failed attempts to flip her, we were warned about a possible c section. Fortunately, that didn't happen. After 3 hours of pushing (I had a couple 1/2 hr breaks), she finally decided to make her appearance. I unfortunately was exhausted, and needed some help from the vacuum. I also needed an episiotomy because someone had a big head.
Everyone is doing great, besides momma being quite sore.

This little guy is still sunny side up and I'm afraid I'll be pushing a long time again along with help from the vacuum and episiotomy AGAIN!!
