@mrslalabug Not that that would be any more work on the gal doing the spreadsheet, right @zoeygirl1105 ? lol
Haha. There's already a spot on there for names. I've been adding some. If you post it in the announcement or spreadsheet threads it will get added. I just don't want to dig through these ones.

That was just me asking for the spreadsheet gal to do it, passive aggressively @zoeygirl1105 . I didn't want to be like "Do dis! Do dis!"
Our name is set... Madelyn Noel
My paternal great grandmother was Madelene. She came by herself, a young widow with 5 kids, over to America through Ellis Island. Ever since I heard about her as a little girl I loved the name. Old but also modern. The problem is I have this phonetic issue. I wanted the end sound to be like "lyn." Ggma's spelling ends in "lene" like arlene. I even checked the Ellis Island records for her spelling and ordered a copy of the ship's manifest to frame/hang as family history. Madeline ends in "line" and phonetically doesn't make sense to me either (Im such a nerd) so we altered the spelling. She will correct people on spelling her whole life but I have to also so eh. She'll deal.
We chose Noel as a middle name because we found out about her on Christmas Day. My other middle name runner ups were Pearl (after maternal great-grandma) and Rose bc I think it is pretty. Noel won out bc of the unique meaning/memory for us. Will store those for if we have another girl. Abigail was our other choice for a girl... Our first choice actually... But I couldnt get Madelyn out of my head and it just seemed right. So maybe girl #2 will be Abigail Pearl or Abigail Rose.
To start, I think this name is absolutely beautiful sounding Crystal. It's a great name. BUT, wouldn't it be easier for her to correct pronunciation than spelling? The y makes it seem trendy rather than the strong traditional name it is to me. Nonetheless, I love her name

I totally thought the same thing at first. I wanted an older looking spelling. I couldn't get past Madeline. To me it is pronounced as "line." And if I stuck to ggmas spelling she would correct spelling anyway and it phonetically bothered me. So I was torn between Madeleine (which I still really like bc it seems more "classic" and may go with), Madelyn and Madilyn (both newer and trendier but with an "i" seemed trendier). Either way she will correct spelling bc there are so many legit ways to spell it. My name is spelled traditionally but due to so many popular variations people always get it wrong and I generally dont care).
I stillll am sorta debating with Madeleine. My sis and friends all love Madelyn. So I need to think it through more. Madeline is def out though.
ETA: Madeleine is also how it would be spelled in Sweden too (which is hubby's and in-law's country... And we hope to be able to make her a dual Swedish and American citizen).
I would love advice girls... Madelyn or Madeleine?
@crystalangel79 Personally, I would go with Madeleine. I just think that spelling is so beautiful and classic. But I don't hate Madelyn, I think that's a perfectly acceptable spelling. It could be way worse with something like Maddylynne...and that's not a stretch from what I've seen on the Baby Names board!

I don't know what's going on with this computer...sorry if I already posted this but it's not showing up...
We've had a boy name set for awhile - Bennett Scott. The girl name we've been gradually narrowing down...our top 5 - Rosalie, Natalie, Anneliese, Clara, and Elena with a family name as the MN. Still not sure what that will be, but probably Rae or Autumn.
Marshall Evans (Evans after my uncle who was KIA) Bryson(sp?) Scott (Scott after DH middle name) Kolton Lee (lee after FIL middle name.. I'm not crazy about the K but DH loves it spelled this way..?)
Marshall Evans is the front runner.. I had a long list of name possibilities but DH is extremely picky so those are what we've been playing with. We'll see which one ends up sticking or if a new contender comes into play. I keep calling the baby marshmallow so I think Marshall may be sticking. Lol
We don't know what we are having yet. Our boy name has been set from the very beginning: Robert Declan.
I'm not a fan of Robert but it's a huge deal to my husband. Every man in his family has the first name Robert and goes by their middle name, so he gave me complete freedom to pick the middle name if the tradition continued. Luckily he loves Declan and I'm so happy that's what he'll be called.
When it comes to girl names we are pretty stumped. Our list so far is: Aria Aurora Aubrey And I'm not in love with any of them...
Our little girl's name will be Juliana Grace. We have had it picked out since before we conceived. DF's mom was Julie Ann and passed away from breast cancer when he was a teenager. We think Juliana is a beautiful tribute to her while still being a "different" name (aka not Julie).
We like very traditional names. We will know next week what we are having, but we have names picked out for both. Boy: Ryan Patrick or Ryan Christopher. Girl: Lauren Elizabeth.
We are having boy/girl twins, so I need 2 names... yikes. We have settled on Joseph Thomas for the boy, but still have not narrowed down the girl name. Right now we are liking Isabella and Grace... but we are still open to new options.
We have named our boy/boy twins... 1st out will be Victor Corbin and 2nd out will be Connor Jackson. DH name is victor and every oldest male for like 243542 generations has been victor with a different middle name. We'll call the baby Corbin.

Lauren Elizabeth is gorgeous!! Then again, call me biased
Right now our top girl names are: Margaret Georgia Ivy middle names Kathleen, Kate, Thomas (family name) or Helen.
Boys list is shorter: Cooper Archie (and my dark horse, Guthrie. Go ahead and tell me how it is too weird so I can hear it from other people). Middle name Thomas

Georgia was my grandma's name. She was an amazing lady. Good name!!!
Guthrie makes me think of the fried chicken fast food chain down here in the South... they have amazing sauce (think zaxby's). And now I'm craving guthrie's.....

Ahh, see I'm from New England so I had no idea such a chain existed. That helps dissuade!
We've been decided on Mason Lynn for a boy since we found out (Lynn is a family MN). A girl name is a little trickier. We want Christine for a middle name after DH's grandma that passed and we're throwing around Chloe and Aubrey as FN right now.
@mrsdanielleM2010
You totally tipped me the other way. I was already teeter tottering but the more I see Madelyn vs Madeleine, the more I want the more classic/older spelling. I just have to get DH on board but that shouldn't be hard once I mention it is the traditional Swedish/European spelling of it... Not mention my Swedish in laws will be happy.
Thanks!!! Madeleine Noel it is!
As a francophone, I'm also happy to see this :P Madeleine is just too beautiful (and sounds so nice in French).
My top choice for the little lady is Esmée, but it hasn't grown on DH so far *sigh*
A name we both really love is Jane, but it will be with the French pronunciation "Jeanne"; we spelt it Jane because we much prefer Jane to Jean or Joan if pronounced in English....not sure if that's obnoxious or not (changing the spelling vs correcting pronunciation). Her middle name will most likely be Barbara, to honour my late mum...I can't really think of anything more suitable.

If we had been team blue he would have likely been Bennett Anthony.
Alexis and Jasper! We're debating a few names for middle names
What are you thinking for mn for Alexis?
Hey! That's my name! It's not boring
I've only really thought about it recently though. Nothing stands out that I'm in love with.
At first it was definitely Garrett, but now we have added Theo and Lincoln. I am too indecisive for this stuff!!
Margaret
Georgia
Ivy
