oh no @joules235 I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this! from what I've seen and experienced, you seem like an amazing person who doesn't deserve this shit. I hope everything works out for you and your creepy internet stalker gets a life.
@joules235 same thing happened to me minus the legal aspect. Totally reeked havoc on my life. You have my empathy. The internet is never safe. 4 years later and I still feel nervous.
I got the stupid GI bug going around. My stepdaughter had it last weekend. I've been shitting for hours with no reprieve. My butt hurts. My stomach hurts, and is so crampy. My doc said Imodium is ok, I got some. When will it start working? My baby shower is on Sunday. What a shitty day. Pun intended.
I got really crappy news today. I'm so angry at the world. My friend/ex coworker was diagnosed with Lymphoma. She's 22. For the last year she's been having chest pains and a bunch of other health concerns. She went to several doctors in this town just to be told nothing was wrong.
Last month she moved to Vegas to be closer to family. She developed a lump on her chest just before she moved. So she went to a doctor yesterday they took one look at her took a biopsy and sent her for a Cat Scan. Got the news it was wrapped around bone and she needed to start Chemo ASAP. Her first treatment was today.
She is such an amazing person and is really positive. I'm so mad at the doctors that she saw here for not doing more than just blood tests. I really hope they caught it in time.
While I'm not exactly looking forward to hanging around a convention center for hours tomorrow, we're heading to the USA Science and Engineering Festival here in DC tomorrow. They Might be Giants are doing two free concerts - one geared to kids, one geared to adults. I'm wondering which one M ends up digging more.

I saw they TMBG in San Diego last summer and they put on such a fun show! Enjoy!!
Nothing like waking up at 3:30 in the morning itchy everywhere. It was so bad I jumped on the shower. All washed and moisturized and can't fall back asleep So I'll watch some LOTR at 4:30 and pout until I crash
So I am laying here in bed with DF, he's asleep and I am awake looking at my phone and a spider seriously crawls on the front of my phone screen. I freak out and my first reaction was to throw my phone across the room, hitting DF in the foot as it goes flying. Lol, he jumps up out of a dead sleep and can't figure out what is going on. I can laugh about it now because I don't see the spider, but WTF...
That's always my first reaction to spiders but I have tried to teach myself to be calm and deal with the spider because if I know it's somewhere in my room...alive...no thanks.
Hahaha thats how I am too! I am freaking out on the inside but I freeze and yell for DH to come kill it quick. I don't like to loose sight of the bug because then I don't know where it is and that really freaks me out.
Long day, but we had such a fun time at the USA Science and Engineering fair. They Might be Giants were great. I mentioned earlier that I wondered which of the two concerts M would be more into - the kid-focused one or the adult-focused one. Here's how it went down.
Kid-focused:
Adult focused:
She totally passed out DURING THE KID SHOW, and didn't stop jumping, singing, and dancing for the adult show. They played all but one of her favorite songs. Totally worth it.
We also saw Bill Nye and Mike Rowe. Pretty good stuff. Now I'm pooped.
DD has been doing downward dog in her bed for the past 20 min instead of going to sleep...what a little nut lol.
Joules...sorry creepy irl/internet stalkers are messing with you, I hope the judge sees fit to throw everything out and treat them according to the creepers they are.
Seriously @joules235 I am sure the judge was like…
Is anyone else having some of the threads come up in a different format on mobile?
@mrsdbc I did have this BMB come up different a couple of times on mobile - it came up as if I was on the computer - definitely not the mobile version. A few more tries and it went back to normal.
For some reason it's totally hit me this weekend that I'm almost 32 weeks, and the girls could be here anytime in the next 4-6 weeks.
All the twin moms are always like "be done with everything by 28 weeks!"... well, I'm not. And out of the twin moms in my group most of them had their babies before 36 weeks... so less than 4 weeks! I'm just kinda sitting here rocking myself in the fetal position because I don't think we're ready.
@else1688 that is true, thanks girlie. I think I'm also just pissy because there's so much I want to do but physically can't. I mostly have to wait around for hubby to feel inspired to do it lol!
@katekat8721 dont worry mama, I'm right there with you! I hit 32 weeks yesterday and I am no where near finished getting things ready for the boys! I'm definitely freaking out a little inside, especially since my grandpa thinks they are gonna be here at 35 weeks, 3 weeks away! We just gotta keep our cool, cuz hey if anything really important isnt done by the time our LOs get here, you know someone will be more than willing to help get it finished. PM if you need to talk!

@katekat8722 - this! I'm not having twins, obviously, but I physically just can't handle a quarter of the stuff I would normally do. So, I have to wait for DH who doesn't have *quite* the sense if urgency that I do. It's driving me nuts. I'm sure I'm driving him nuts, too. It's really hard for me not to nag!
@stephross88 omg yes! They are adorable as chicks bc you see their little personalities develop. Some have mohawks. They are so fluffy and sweet. They used to run up to us and greet us
Omg my shower was today! It was amazing. My mother and friends did such a good job! I only had one major break down before the shower. And that was bc MIL has been here a couple of days and I want my house back!! Anyways, we had so many people show up that I thought wouldn't be able to make it! It was really amazing to see everyone! And I got CAKE!!! All of the gifts were great and although some have to be taken back it was all great!
@saltypearl ow! Thats why I could never be a seamstress- i am too accident prone with machinery of any kind.
So, I am originally from California, where I am used to earthquakes. Couple seconds of shaking, bam done. I moved to Alabama in November, and I am DEFINITELY not ok with the idea of tornadoes. Most definitely freaking out about the storms coming up. And I have to venture out for a docs appt tomorrow This Cali girl is definitely out of her element.

This made me laugh so hard! I just scared the daylights outa my DH the other day about a spider... I had just used the bathroom and there was a HUGE spider sitting on the edge of the sink! I yelled for DH to come quick and kill it cuz I couldn't even wash my hands! He came and was like don't do that you about gave me a heart attack... I was like, the spider gave me a heart attack, thanks for noticing...
I'm just a stabby beeotch today. I pretty much assumed the drive-by posts would increase the closer we get to June but the contraction/cramping posts- ugh! Don't ask us, ask your freaking doctor, we don't know your history. I can't even bring myself to snark or GIF because they come back, if they come back, they get all butt hurt. Wish we could post a closed contraction or cramping sticky that's something to the tune of got em? Call your doctor! For as much or less as I babble on this board and how I do love you salty hoes, if I'm concerned enough to post about contractions, I should be calling my OB. I'm sure I won't be the first patient nor the last to call concerned.
I just created an email address for DD, which I'm irrationally excited about. One of our friends has done this with her kids and she sends them emails about something cute they did, or pictures, has family write them emails for their birthdays, etc, so they can go back and look at everything when they get older. I thought it was a cute idea and a little more 'this century' than a baby book.
Just a random SS, but my friend who has been trying to conceive for 6 years and has had one early loss is 10 weeks pregnant!!!! She heard and saw the heartbeat today and I am just so freaking excited for her!!!!!!!!!
I'm having a little pity party for myself tonight. I posted in the symptom thread about shortness of breath and swelling. I finally called the Dr. to shut my mom up, who was worried. Went in, baby looked good, but sent me to L&D just to make sure. Get there, by myself, and the nurse was great. All of my tests were fine. She asked how I was feeling emotionally. I had a little meltdown and started crying, because I just feel so overwhelmed. I'm exhausted, work isn't easing up on me, there's always so much crap to do and I just feel like no one notices that I'm 32 weeks pregnant and need a break. It's probably my own fault for not speaking up.
So, the nurse calls my Dr and they ask if I want to cut down at work for the next 7 weeks. I desperately want to, but I feel like a failure.
So, I am eating ice cream for dinner while DH is at work.
@lest12, hugs!!! It's totally overwhelming and it's ok to back off work if you need and they are willing! I'd ask my work in a heartbeat but I don't think they will. Hang in there, lady, and enjoy your ice cream!
