Well, it looks like our little 'science baby' as we've been calling it, stopped growing a day or so after our last RE appointment two weeks ago. We were released to the OB then, I've even had my first informational appointment with the OB earlier this week, but the RE said we could come back one last time if we wanted and we opted to because who doesn't want an extra chance to see the baby? My DH ended up having to go in to work early today so couldn't make the appointment, but I didn't mind because this was really just a courtesy appointment after all. When I got there they informed me that the doc wasn't in and asked if I was ok with not reviewing the results until later and again, I said no worries, because it was my last, appointment. The ultra sound tech got started and I immediately saw tears well up in her eyes. I knew. I knew and somehow I didn't start to cry until she was done and finally looked at me. They made me wait until the doctor called me to leave. I called DH over and over until he answered, obviously knowing something was wrong he came right home. We can't even begin to think of what to do next, of going through the fertility treatments again now knowing that this happened. I can't imagine having a D&C next week since that is logically the next step since I clearly am not passing it on my own. We are just devastated.
