  • 1.the much anticipated dd1 meeting with new dd. I'm terrified
    2. People will start talking to me about things other than pregnancy
    3. Won't have the need to pee (or trickle) every ten minutes.

    Having my patience back (I hope!!)
    Seeing my two kids get to know each other
    Watching DH be a dad to a baby, he prefers them older but he's so sweet when they are tiny :)

  • 1. Seeing H with his son.
    2. Having my body back. Which means moving anyway I want, tying my shoes, sleeping in different positions.
    3. Having a glass of wine without H freaking out.

  • 1) feeling better
    2) having time off to be a mom and chill all Summer with my baby girl and my family
    3) not being in the hospital anymore
    4) being able to eat a flexible diet again and cocktails!!!

    3) crazy sex sans beer belly
    4) smelling my baby- I can't get enough of that smell!

  • It was a month ago. Who cares! Sometimes re-starting old threads is pointless. Plus it gets funnier the further along we get. So keep calm and carry on.
  • BREATHING.  I can't wait to be able to function without constantly feeling like I've just finished a marathon.

    Also, wearing cute non-maternity clothes and feeling somewhat attractive instead of like a hot bloated sweaty mess.

    And of course... booze.

  • 1) summer drinks
    2) my son becoming a big brother again. And my DD being able to be a big sister. I can't wait to see her face and watch them fall in love. As well as my husband who wasn't 100% sold on the idea of baby number 3. I know he will be head over heels.
    3) getting my body back. Being able to roll over in bed without bouncing. Being able to help my kids with their shoes without yelling come closer I can't reach you.

    3) seeing DS be a big brother. I'm so anxious to see how he's going to react to a baby

    1) Finding out what my DD will look like.  (Whose hair, eyes, etc.)
    2) Seeing how SO reacts when I go into labor and when she is finally here. (He is still in *major* denial that this is actually happening, even though this was a planned pregnancy!)
    3) Spending time with my SIL and her two kids, who are 2 1/2 years and 5 months old.
    4) Having the whole Summer off to learn how to be a mom.
    5) All the booze!  Okay, maybe not ALL the booze... But some of the booze!  I really want to try the new Bud Light margarita flavors that they came out with recently.

  • So much!

    - Seeing DH become a daddy, the dogs become 'brothers', my family become aunts/gigi's/poppas/great grandparents/etc
    - Watching the girls play and grow up together
    - Taking the girls out in the boat and on vacations
    - Having my body be my body instead of an incubator (breathing, sleeping, rolling over, bending, etc plus work on being cute again lol)
    - Sex
    - Beer and margaritas
    - BFing
    - Having the girls be in my sister's wedding late summer

  • 1. Finding out if its a boy or girl!
    2. Going running again!
    3. Enjoying a glass of wine or a margarita!
    4. Enjoying every moment since this is most likely our last baby
  • 1. Seeing what/who he looks like
    2. Watching my two sons with him, especially their initial reactions
    3. Seeing my husband hold him for the first time
    4. Not having GD anymore!
    5. Having the summer off to spend with all 3 of my children

  • Definitely seeing what this new little boy looks like!  I've been finding myself getting more and more excited about what he'll look like.  :)  And seeing how my son interacts with him.  And breastfeeding.  I loved breastfeeding my DS, so I'm looking forward to that again.
  • Finding out if baby is a boy or a girl!  :)

    Watching DD be a big sister.

    Enjoying a whole summer of maternity leave!

  • 1. Finding out what fatherhood looks like for DH. What kind of dad will he be? What kind of parents will we be together?

    2. Red wine. Which is weird, because I wasn't a red wine drinker before baby, but I've had a few cravings for it during this pregnancy. 

    3. Running with baby. I can't wait to sweat again. That sounds weird, but it's true.

    4. Introducing the baby to my dogs. A little nervous about this one as well, but I'm looking forward to seeing how they welcome a new member to our little pack.

  • 1) seeing DH hold his daughter, I've never seen him hold a child ever, I know it will melt my heart (and he probably won't give her up!)

    2) seeing who she looks like and her hair color (the chances of brown or red are really high)

    3) BOOZE

    4) how the dog will react to her. He's good with kids, but has never been around babies, much less a baby that will be permanently in the house.

  • 1)  Seeing DH bond with baby.  He has mentioned how it is hard because I get to feel baby moving around on the inside and he is stuck on the outside and doesn't get to have the same connection.  (To which I said, I will happily let you get pregnant with the next one!)

    2)  Having my body back--so sick of not sleeping, being congested and having heartburn.

    3)  Drinking whenever I want to.

    4) Finally getting to meet the little guy and see what he is like!

  • 1. Meeting her and seeing her face for the first time (I am actually quite happy we never did a 3d/4d ultrasound so this part will be a complete surprise for us!)
    2. Seeing my husband hold his little girl. 
    3. ALLTHEBEER
    4. Being able to (eventually) run fast again / train for my next 1/2 marathon
    5. Feeling all those things STMs tell you about; falling in love with my child and feeling that kind of emotion is something I am really looking forward to the most. I am not very sentimental or emotional in general, so I have been really hoping to see that side of myself come out and hope I will be able to show my daughter all the love in the world.

  • Finally meeting this little girl

    Seeing DD being "little mommy" as she's already listing the things she wants to help with

    All the red dry wine and IPAs I can drink ( in moderation without getting baby drunk of course!!)

    Breastfeeding again ( I was so ready for DS to stop (he was over 2, and I can't believe how I miss it)

    Having the summer off ( I go back to work August 31st)

    All the feeling human again stuff ( belly sleeping, breathing, etc.)

    Restarting WW and getting my body back!

  • 1) NO WORK, all baby time for at least few months!

    2) Taking walks in the sunshine with my LO and not worrying about not being at work.

    3) Hard liquor. I'm kiddddddding. No, wait, I'm not. I want a dark and stormy now, dang it!

    4) Not getting a rapid heartbeat after eating, and that creepy "I need to get off my back now" feeling.

    Best for last: 5) Snuggle time with DH and our baby boy!!

    4) Not having GD anymore

  • 1. SEX, SEX, SEX! It super hurts right now, so we hardly have any.

    2. Finally seeing what he looks like. I want him to be a mini DH, that would be so dang cute.

    3. Watching DH sleeping with his son, which will surely wreck me into a puddle of tears.

    4. Sleeping comfortably, in any position.

    5. Trying for baby number 2 with no pressure or timeline. I love being pregnant, and it would be such a blessing to not have to do IVF again.

    Favorite TV Mom: Tami Taylor
    • Getting my body back:  bending over, real workouts, tying my shoes easily, clipping my toenails, having a cramp and just ignoring it, not having to time everything around snacks and peeing, having actually comfortable positions to sit or sleep in.
    • Getting my brain back.  I will, right?
    • Having more than like four outfits to choose from.
    • Food not being a major production.  Not saying "I'm hungry, but nothing appeals," "I can't even be in the room with that," "that will make me throw up/give me heartburn," or "I'm hungry two hours after dinner because I can't really eat a meal."
    • Meeting LO and finding out what she looks like and what her personality is like.
    • Changing diapers.  I know, I'm weird, but I'm actually interested in changing diapers.  I'm sure it will get old. 
    • Watching my dad get his "redo" on parenting as a grandpa.
    • Introducing LO to everything... taking her to the aquarium, whale watching, traveling, and all the stuff we love to do.

  • 1) Seeing DS meet his baby sister and the bonding, he is so excited
    2) Sleeping more comfortably and without such crazy dreams hopefully
    3) Eating a sushi extravaganza
    4) Not being pregnant and feeling normal again and not so massive
    5) Having a year away from work to enjoy my kids
    6) Having some good sex with DH, its been awhile, I just feel way to huge to really enjoy it much these days.

    4. Having someone call me mommy. 
    5. Having my husband crack my back like he used to!  I am dying for a good crack!

    Looking forward to the new life we'll have.  What a wonderful journey it will be. 
  • @mercy0606‌, omg yes! I want my back cracked so bad. Especially between my shoulder blades! Hmmm anyone know any good preggo back cracking tips???
  • @joules235, hmmm yes good idea. Lol. I'm sure they've got one here at the hospital. I wonder how may different doctors I can see in one week. Part of me wishes I did yoga regularly, maybe that would've helped!
  • @Ashes92813‌ I think yoga helps a lot. I do Pilates twice a week and I've had hardly any back pain. Are you already in L&D or on bed rest? Otherwise you could try a prenatal yoga class. Your hospital might have classes.

    I wish I could swim! That was actually amazing for my back on vacation.
