It's never going to work!!! *UPDATED & Thank you-*

BFFN....again. Please don't tell me it's too early. It's 6dp5dt and not even a shadow of a line.

I'm not sure if it was the transfer itself (it was bad), the bad donor sperm, my fault for only putting back 1, the fact that my lining was only 7.5 or if no matter what I do nothing is ever going to work.

Sorry for the rant. I know I bitch a lot and I was never a negative person before IF and I hate that I am now.

I just recently cut back my hours at work because I couldn't stand the high stress job and cycling over and over again. I wasn't taking care of myself.

I'm struggling. I haven't even cried about this not working and I don't know why.

Thank god we have some high quality frozen embryos to work with. They are the only thing keeping me going at this point.

Thanks for all of the support ladies.
I know friends and family mean well... but i just cant talk to people and try to explain what I'm going through. This is truly a private hell that unless you have experienced for yourself, you just cant understand.

...If 1 more person asks me why I don't 'just adopt' I am going to scream...

I'm not even surprised it didn't work, but very disappointed.
We have 3 day 5 blasts frozen. We will do FETs this summer.

@Grateful&Thankful‌ - they've always had to use a stylet at transfer. my FET in dec difficult as well, but that cycle ended in a chemical, so I know they got where they needed to. This transfer literally took a half hour, multiple stylets to get past a 'sharp curve' in my uterus and I had cramping and bright red bleeding after. My nurse told me it was my cervix that was bleeding and it wouldn't affect the outcome... But we need to address this....it was bad. I'm not blaming the doctor, it was clear in the ultrasound that my anatomy was not helping, but this is a problem.

My RE did my uterine biopsy in oct and had no difficulty whatsoever... We were thinking of asking him if we could schedule our next FET around his schedule so he could do our next transfer. Do you think that's reasonable?

@JSM0801‌ - I had an endometrial biopsy the month before my FET that ended in a chemical. My RE isn't a believer in this, but I will ask about it at my follow up. Thx for the suggestion-

Also, wanted to let you all know that I cut my hours at my job to cut down my stress, have a more flexible schedule (especially while cycling over and over), but I have an interview Monday for a per diem position that I'm excited about. It's a really good environment. It would be good because I could work an additional day or two a week around my schedule/cycling schedule.

  • Km- I'm more sorry than you can ever know. It shouldn't be this hard - over and over again. I wish I could do something bc I know the despair you feel. Unfortunately I have heard several times over the years that a bad ET caused it not to work. I'm glad you have several frosties. What about a cervical stitch that is placed prior to the ET- so they know the path into the uterus without causing harm? Or being put under? I'm sure you will push back to your RE as he needs to get this right. I'm glad you can cut your hours. Do anything that will help your soul. Giant hugs((()))

  • Km- I TOTALLY think it is reasonable to request that the other RE handle your transfer. No one should have to go through a difficult ET if they don't have to. They should be willing to accommodate your request. I am glad you are making some changes to cut down your stress. Hopefully this will make you feel a lot better as you gear up for your FET.

  • Definitely ask for whatever you think would help or at least put your mind at ease. That sounds great about the interview and different job - good luck! It's definitely a smart move if you think work is creating more stress for you.
