Beware, tmi regarding bloody show - confused :s

Hi all, this is my first baby and I'm currently 38 +3 weeks. My baby had been partially engaged for a couple of weeks and when I went to 38 week midwife app, she is now fully engaged. She has been sitting very low for a good few weeks and I'm hoping I've not too much longer to wait. Early hours this morning I went for a wee and noticed a little bit of blood streaked discharge when I wiped. I've luckily had a very text book pregnancy so far and not had any bleeding at all throughout. I've had a few very mild cramps and a lower back ache like period pains since but nothing regular, and was wondering if this could be classed as a bloody show or not as it isn't what is described on forums and help sites so I'm a bit confused......

Bloody anything + cramps sounds like progress to me! Not sure it would be classified as bloody show yet, but it sounds promising.

I did that with my first and had him three days later. Sounds like progress! However, this time I lost my mucous plus a week and a half ago, had bloody show with it and more a day later. I'm dialated to 4, but I'm still pregnant. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. Had a bit more this afternoon but the cramps have stopped so hopefully things are progressing.

I'm just going to keep my eye on things. I hope she is on her way, only been on mat leave a week and I'm bored and fed up already! We want her here now!

Hi guys I thought I'd just let everyone who replied know that Sunday evening I started with pains at 10.30 went to birth centre at 3.00 am to be told I wasn't really in labour. Went home pains got worse and worse and by 7.30am I could no longer take the pain, went back to birth centre, seen by a fab midwife who told me I was fully dilated with the head already moving down and started pushing and 42 mins later my beautiful little girl was born 10 days early without pain relief as I was too far gone for it to make a difference. Thanks for everyone's input and best of luck to those with there babies still due to be born. Although it hurt like hell, without pain relief it was bearable and I also didn't need any stitches so there is hope xx
