NSAIFR: Stupidly Upset UPDATED!!!

E lost one of her earrings today. I know it's stupid, and kids are bound to lose things, and I shouldn't let a baby have anything that I consider special. But I bought her these birthstone earrings for her first birthday. And I've been feeling really freaked out about her being such a big girl, and panicked about the new baby, and you know, I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant so I'm all emotional. And nobody cares enough to help me look. I'm really sad about the lost earring. Can someone please tell me to put on my big girl panties and get over it?

The nanny found the earring! The back must have fallen off when she changed her clothes yesterday, then the actual earring must've fallen out when she took her nap. The back was under the ottoman in the living room, and the earring was under her bed. I'm so happy the nanny found it, and in the light of day I feel so silly being so upset about it (though I am super happy to have it back!) I think I just had a really rough night last night, and am feeling vastly underprepared for #2 to join us. Thanks for the head-pats ladies!
Maybe I should get her a 2nd pair of earrings for her 2nd birthday so I can save these as a keepsake.

Put on your big girl panties . ;-) I am sorry deh list it. Have you tried that trick where you put pantyhose over the vaccuum cleaner tube and then vaccuum the area to see if it gets sucked up?

I haven't tried that, we would have to vacuum the whole house! There's no telling where it might have fallen out at. I found the back under the ottoman in the living room, so I scoured the entire living room. But the actual earring could have stuck in her ear for a while after the back fell off. It could be anywhere.

that sucks! So sorry TJ. It's sentimental, you have a right to be upset. And not only that, you have a lot on your plate. It's ok to feel that way. You can put on your big girl panties but cry if you want to. I had a complete crying meltdown yesterday over DS smashing slime in his hair. I feel your pain. Pregnancy plays evil tricks on you.

Aww man, that super sucks. On a weird coincidence, Hannah lost one of her birthstone earrings this week too. I was also bummed. And I haven't been able to buy a replacement so I keep switching the one earring so the hole doesn't close

I wish I could cry. I'm some sort of weird pregnancy zombie and I can't cry. So I end up with all these feelings, and I can't get them out! And I can't drink to forget them

haha. I'm hoping the nanny comes across it today.
