I don't know about you all but the majority of our families live 3 hours away. It's difficult for them the travel to us so I'm kind of bummed that we won't be driving to visit them for Thanksgiving & Christmas (I figure I should probably stick close to home for Thanksgiving as I'll be in my 39th week I think and for Christmas I'll have a newborn). I'm a planner so I think ahead to all of this, am I overeacting?
Re: We dicussed benefits of December... Drawbacks anyone?
the only drawback i can think of is no easy option for outdoor birthday parties, so if your house isn't big enough (and mine isn't), you'll have to rent a space.

I worry about the birthday issue, but DH and I have already discussed how we'll always make sure birthdays are still special and not lost in the shuffle. Worst case scenario, we celebrate (party wise) a couple weeks early.
I am a big advocate for not getting induced (unless medically necessary), so that's my biggest worry. I REALLY don't want to go any closer to the 25th. Peanut's EDD is already the 14th. I'm hoping he or she comes early! With DD I was 5 days late and that's after having my membranes swept - twice. Hoping we don't need to resort to that this time around.

The only 'downer' I can think of is that during that time of year nearly everything u can buy at a shop goes up in price... But if u do ur Xmas and bday shopping earlier on in the year it shouldn't be a problem!
THIS… exactly.

I'm not worried about a holiday birthday. It's only as big of a deal, or as little of one, as you make it.
Edited because my phone sucks.
This birthday/Christmas crap annoys me.
