Yes, my ILs have always very generously acknowledged my bday the same as they would DH -- gift, cards, special meal, etc. My family does the same for DH.
My MIL has gotten me cards with cash or a gift card each year. Sometimes it's a present that she puts some thought into. My family goes all out for DH's birthday. He gets a dinner and multiple gifts each year.
Inlaws? My H didn't remember, then acted like an ass for the entire weekend for my birthday. He refused to get up with the boys in the morning, bitched about watching the kids while I went for groceries and Easter supplies, then picked a fight during every conversation. My bday was on Saturday and I am still not talking to the ass. Sorry it's OT, but I'm still fuming
